Prints poorly even at reduced speeds – not worth the trouble
I had consistently good results with another PETG filament on the same printer, but this Polymaker PolyLite PETG Silver has been extremely frustrating. The first layer prints cleanly, but subsequent layers develop blobs, material buildup, dragged filament and poor/inconsistent surfaces. I reduced the maximum volumetric flow from 15 to 8 mm³/s, significantly reduced printing speeds, and tested around 240–245°C. The problem still returned after the first layers. The spool was freshly opened from its vacuum-sealed packaging with desiccant. My previous PETG, which has been open for months, prints substantially better. I don't expect every filament to work perfectly with a generic profile, but I also don't expect to spend this much time slowing down and troubleshooting a basic PETG just to obtain an acceptable print. 1 star. I would not buy this filament again.

Schlechtestes Filmend das ich je hatte
Leider kann man keine 0 Sterne vergeben. Ich hatte noch nie so ein schlechtes Filmend. Es hat mir 3 Düsen im Drucker verstopft. Erst hatte ich eine 0,4 Düse drauf. Dann hab ich auf 0,6 gewechselt, da ich dachte es würde sich bessern, nachdem ich einige Einstellungen verändert habe. Beim letzten Druckversuch hat mir dass Filmend so dermaßen den Drucker versaut, das es jetzt in die Tonne fliegt. Ich kann nur von diesem Filmend abraten.

Good PETG
I've gone back and forth on this filament a bit. My first print was okay. My second print was awesome. Then I had a span of a couple days where I couldn't get it to print nicely even after drying it, and was starting to feel kind of disappointed with it. Since then I've done a bit more experimenting, and while I won't make the claim that it "prints like PLA", once you get your settings right it seems to be pretty good quality. It does seem to be more sensitive to how much "squish" you give it on your first layer - more so than other PETG I've used, but if you can get your first layer looking good, it's usually smooth sailing from there. I've been printing at 240/80. In the end, I would recommend this filament.

I don't know this Silver PETG is leaves something to be desired.
trying to attach two parts out of this Silver PETG together looks awful. The parts are a completely different colour. The colour is actually the same, but the way the light reflects off the parts makes them appear to be a completely different colour. The attached photo is a test print. A small section of a large part. It's basically unusable for my application. I'm sure it would look neat for certain prints, but for joining large parts, you're going to see colour deviation. It will be especially evident at the joint. My parts were printed in the correct orientation that they should have come out more similar I would have thought. Containers/Vases might look neat out of this as it's almost a colour shift. I couldn't find any example prints in this filament. Hope this helps someone out. It's not a bad filament, but it is bad for certain applications.

Can't go wrong with polymaker
I tried a few brands at work and this petg is by far, the easiest one to work with. I use it for anything that goes in contact with chemicals. I print between 30 and 120mm/s with a 0.6mm nozzle at 230C, 20%fan normal and 100% for bridges... I alway dry my filaments overnight before printing and it's mandatory for petg if you want to have smooth walls and overhangs. If your printer clogs, you are either going too slow or you retract too much...too slow will soften the filament in the hotend and it'll stick...too much retraction does the same thing as you pull soft filament in the tube and then it'll stick to the walls. I have a direct drive and I retract only 0.75mm at 30mm/s with travels at 200mm/s. I have no strings and no clogs.
