Takes Patience
The box was damaged slightly upon arrival, so my first task was to get everything out and see if it was still going to work. It did. Lights up and remote seemed to be working. Having said that, I have yet to finish piecing this together. I was going to put it together and surprise my son with it, but I found I no longer have the patience for construction sets that I used to. The instructions are clear and much like the ones you get when purchasing major brand brick building sets. The concept is really awesome, but I wish I had waited and let my child do this activity, as he loves stuff like this. I literally made it 10 minutes before deciding maybe he should be the one to do this. So far, it appears to be exactly as described, but will update if that status changes. Also will update when this project is completed. Despite it being unfinished, it still, in my opinion, deserves a 5 star. You can tell it is pretty good quality before you even have it fully together. Bricks stick together firmly, easy to follow instructions, and definitely get the excited feeling of the possibilities of trying all 3 designs you can build with the one set. I am just going to let my son finish them all LOL. The reason I gave only 4 stars, is because if you are going to purchase as a gift, I know I would be upset about damage to the box. Even not purchasing as a gift that was going to be staying in box before given, I was slightly upset about it. Disheartened that I discovered my childhood passion is no longer a passion, but happy I have passed that passion to my child. He will truly enjoy this!

Great value
As we assembled this small robot in various ways, charged him up, and watched him move, we were blissfully unconscious of the passing of time. The construction of this robot wasn't as challenging as our more involved programmed robot creations, but the parts held together better and didn't stress out or frustrate my sonĀ as much. It was very enjoyable. Over the course of the following several days, he discovered more ways to put him together than those suggested by the box and discovered how to get him to push objects about the room, like a ball to our dog. NOW THAT was funny! Our dog wasn't sure what to think.

Very nice toy
We have another toy like this that is only a robot. My almost 7-year-old was able to put the other one together by himself, but had a harder time with this one. He made the tank. Having a bunch of extra pieces (for the other builds) and not being very organized about which bags has what pieces, it was a little bit overwhelming for him. As for the actual putting together and following the instructions was about the same and pretty easy to follow. It is very close to the way Lego Technic toys are made and put together. He enjoyed putting it together (with my help this time) and playing with the finished product with the remote. It moves slow and so it is easy to control and in the tank mode, it does not flip/fall over compared to the robot. Since it is compatible with Lego, you can add/build/change it with other sets that you may have. Overall, a great toy to build and to play with.

Great for teaching kids
Our 12yo boys enjoy building things and this is perfect for teaching them to follow directions and learn a little bit about robotics. Better than being glued to video games for hours!

Wall-E
Build the toy for fun. Then play with it. Or, just a thought, film a movie with this robotic actor being remotely controlled. Build a little playset, perhaps a post consumption apocalypse, like Wall-E. Film the three different forms of the toy as three different roles in the film. Overlay the videos to merge the actors. Add voices and sound. Wild! I should be recording this, not typing it.This Mould King Robot is at least three toys in one.BuildPlayRecordNow, factor in that it can be built in three different ways.RobotTankVehicleThis is nine toys.
