Replaced the balsa and paper filters in some of my pipes
I purchased a box of these to try them in some of my balsa, Grabow and Medico filter pipes. They are well made and fit all but one of my Savinelli pipes. The one that doesn't fit takes balsa filters just fine, but this filter will not go into the stem far enough to use it. As for the Grabow and Medico pipes, they fit just fine, but you can't push them into the stem all the way. If you do, you will need a pipe cleaner or a piece of wire to push them out. These are much shorter than the paper filters so I just leave them sticking out of the stem about 1/4" and that works just fine. Before I put them in, I give a short blow to clear out any charcoal dust so that it doesn't end up in my mouth and ruin the flavor of the tobacco. These do a much better job than the balsa and paper filters and I don't get tongue bite. I only get one bowl out of a filter since these are small and they absorb a lot. Just ordered a second box.

These flow very well for tobacco pipes
I went to pipe tobacco to help quit cigarettes. I use filters because they do filter a lot of tar and gunk (you'll see when you remove them after a few bowls). They also stop any particles or embers from coming up the pipe stem. I think these filter better than cigarette filters, with the charcoal. They fit most of my 6mm pipes just fine since they are short in length (Savinelli, corn cobs) although I did have to lightly sand the stem on a few of my cobs to get them to slide in. I use a small set of pliers to remove them since they get REALLY dirty (which means they're working). You also want to remove them when wet and be careful, if you rip them in half the bottom is stuck in the pipe and charcoal bits get everywhere. That's normal though for all charcoal filters. These flow better than a few of the other charcoal pipe filters I've tried.

Too large
Would not fit in my 6MM MM corn cob. Not worth returning. It would take 15.00 in gas to do it.

Work well, as expected.
Excellent if you want a real filter for your 6mm Savanelli pipes. No problems with draw in them at all, if you’re used to Vauen’s 9mm filters. Will NOT fit Grabow or Missouri Meerschaum pipes, however.

Cob snob reporting live from the scene of use
Little tight in the Missouri Meerschaum I'm currently in love with. But if you know how to relive material from the peg, you'll be just fine. The shorter length is nice, I despise screens and the Savinelli protrude almost into the chamber and get clogged with tobacco. Savinelli's cost about 36¢ a piece and get 3 uses. Dr Pearl cost about 20¢ a piece and get 2 uses. So for every 6 smokes Sevinelli is 72¢ and Dr pearl is 60¢. There's value in these. They both smoke the same. And the Germans are better at manufacturing than the Italians anyway.

these are short filters but hey
These are about 27mm vs 39mm from competitor for only a couple bucks difference. Better than no filter at all IMO, but I prefer the longer filter. I use these in a Salvinelli System 614.

La description indique 4 boîtes de 50, je n'ai reçu qu'une boîte...

Works but is a little bigger than 6mm maybe
It does the work it holds even when moist but it may be a bit tight for the Missouri 6mm pipes

👍
Super für meine Pfeife

Flimsy for the price, worse than the 9mm
The paper is too thin, moisture makes it easy to break on extraction.
