Bones Paperback – August 7, 2022

O my freaking god I waited so long to read bones…from the moment I saw him in carnage , I wanted to know his story so badly…his mysterious vibe the leader godddd he is in my top three men Damon Torrance Tyson Crawford and Dillan Reed! Don’t think twice just buy the book you will not regret it that’s for sure! And don’t get me started on the s* x scenes he was perfect and at the same time respectful ( the kind that dark romances girls love not the boring kind)

Holy smokes! When I started reading this book I thought for sure that this was going to be like the others in the series. But Bones was a whole other level! With all the twists and turns from the very beginning. I was sweating bullets, and anxious the either time reading this book. Mia had gone through so much at the hands of her family and it just kept getting worse and worse. She had no one who truly put her first and loved her the way that she deserved! The fact that Dillian and Mia found each other when everyone thought that Bones was incapable of loving someone else makes my heart so happy. One of my favorite reads!

This was my favorite out of the 5 dark kingdom books. I wish Shantel would have given us a little more at the end. I would love for Mia and Bones to be parents.

Bones… dreamy mafia man with anger issues. Why is it always the sister? Dark twisted and a little bit spicy.

This book was so so good. We finally got to have previous questions answered. I am so happy with this book and how the book is written. I couldn’t be more pleased ! The spice and everything was perfect !! I wish we got to see their happy ending more. Than deserve it so so much !!

Honestly it was pretty good. I thought Bones would be with Jasmine (don’t ask) but I like him with Mia. I really hope that Nite gets his book. Also i dont know why but the trigger warnings for this series are not on the kindle books. I couldn’t even find them online. I’ll have to check my physical copies. I like to know what I’m getting into lmao.

Honestly this one is my favorite of the series. I’m still left with questions, however, the spice, romance, and storyline are superb. As always, check your tw’s and happy reading.

This book is about Bones aka Dillan and mafia unwanted non princess Mia. It’s a sad story in such that Mia is 20 yrs old, uneducated and was unwanted by her mafia family. Her sick and twisted brothers sell her off to sex Trafficking. The one brother who supposedly cares about her is Luca. He asks Bones to go get her from the auction then release her. So that’s where my annoyance kicked in. Why would they leave her unprotected and worse expect her to know how to fend for herself when she’s been treated as bad as a neglected animal her entire life? She hasn’t been taught much and was always told she is a nobody. So why the author and other characters in the book refer to her as a mafia princess is beyond me. A true mafia princess is protected, and usually lives a life of luxury albeit secluded and educated so they will make an excellent wife to a family hers need to connect with. It also failed how disappointing it was that she wants to prove she’s a “Bianchi” by hatching her own plan yet doesn’t bother to let Bones know..that was just dumb. I realize that there must be intrigue and twisty turns in these stories but that was just a no. What I did love is Dillan and Mia together. I would’ve liked to see more of a bonding with them. He was always gone and they didn’t get the relationship part. Yet did have feelings for one another. She seemed like a perfect fit for him. He’s not as depraved as the Lords series that’s for sure!!! So all in all I give it a 3-3.5 overall rating.

It was good but I definitely didn’t love it, often times it felt repetitive but it was overall an average book

Expect the unexpected when the last King finds his Queen. Bones has been allusive throughout the series with a voracious “appetite” and no favourite flavour. Ever. He watched his brothers fall in love and was always supportive but detached. He was always mysteriously sexy yet kind of cold emotionally. He was fiercely loyal, dutiful and protective of his family. Not a person to piss off.His story had me wrapped up in my feels as he fell for a girl no one knew and whose existence was ever even acknowledged. She isn’t completely unknown to readers but she does have Bones acting out of character as he keeps rescuing her. First out of obligation and then because he can’t stop himself.No spoilers because it was fun to get caught up in Shantel’s always exquisite storytelling. This is not one of her darkest or even spiciest stories but that’s why I loved it. It goes to show the range of her dark romance skills and that’s why she’s a most loved author of mine.If you love dark heroes who love to play but risk it all for the one he was obligated to protect, Bones is for you!

Got me hooked! Went trough the serie like fire!Must read! Found the books through booktok. Won’t disappoint you. 💜

Loved this series and all the characters you have to read and see who you fall in love with mine i think is Titan with Bones a close second.

I have been thoroughly enjoying each release of The Dark Kingdom series. I love that the individual books can be read as standalones even if they are interconnected. Bones is the fifth book and it can easily be read without reading the others. I would recommend reading the rest of the books to get that background knowledge of other characters and the world but it won’t decrease your reading enjoyment.I was waiting for Bones’ story and it was like I envisioned. It does include some dark themes so please read the trigger warnings but I didn’t find it that dark. There are a few twists, plenty of action and drama and Shantel’s own brand of spice (always good). I especially liked seeing the other characters and how they are faring. My favorite part about shared world/series is being able to see what is happening with some of my favorite characters.We knew that the HEA was going to happen but it was a journey. First with the surprise woman, all of that baggage and just one obstacle after another. It made for a good read and I was so happy returning to the series. It was definitely another good addition to the Dark Kingdom world.3.5/5
