Bird B Gone Reflective Eye Bird Diverters, 5-Pack

I love these...they worked immediately for my problem! I have a huge deck in the middle of my yard that sits low to the ground like a stage with a tree growing out of the middle of the deck. We have a lovely stray cat living under the deck and we love him!! We'd bring him inside, but our inside cat won't stand for it. So he's protected under the deck and enjoys our yard during the day, getting lots of pets. Well, our mocking birds that I used to love when they sang, are now doing nothing but hacking horrid sounds at the kitty and attacking the poor kitty, morning, noon, and night! Well the birds start at 5 am and go until nightfall...the sound is so grating!! This kitty is too sweet to hurt the birds so I looked to Amazon for a solution. I just received these reflectors and immediately put them up in the tree in the center of the deck, it worked immediately!!! The birds now stay off the deck and out of the tree and won't come near the kitty while he's on the deck, which is most of the time. I'm so relieved. I didn't want to hurt the birds or spend a lot of money. This is a great solution. I just ordered some more to hang on my eaves so that when the kitty is on our covered porch or sitting on the window sill the birds will leave him alone there too! What a wonderful experience...thank you Amazon, wee are thrilled!!!

From September 2013: Was much bigger than I thought, about 3" wide by 5" long tear-drop style. I have them on my front porch facing toward a post that nuisance doves were attempting to nest on. Also used a repellent gel, so not sure which is working better. They are unsightly so I have them facing inward, hanging on potted plants and facing the post. These didn't look pretty from the street so wanted to have them out of view. They are actually colored as black center, yellow ring, then red ring, and remainder is reflective silver/chrome-like. I know by the picture they look like they would be somewhat camouflaged in a natural setting, but they really are not. Will be leaving them up year-round to see if they work or not. So far, not anything to get excited about...just okay. Originally gave 3 stars for this. UPDATE January 2014: These are a waste of $$. These are definitely NOT working, and I have them in a place where I can leave them up year-round and they are not seen from the street by other neighbors. Nesting season is about to commence and the birds are once again hanging around. The last issue I had with the birds is...ready for this one...they were actually perching/sitting on top of these!!! Save your money and pass these by. The seller was great, however. Product now rated to 1 star (and would be less if I could).

So far so good, I've had these up for about 3 weeks and there hasn't been any bird poop on the patio since I put them up. The birds would perch on 2 lamp fixtures, so I put 3 on one of them and 2 on the other and haven't had to clean up since! It was all out war, so I also put up a "White Eagle Holographic Gold Rainbow Windsock", that might have helped with one of the lights, but not the other. It would have been nice if the eye was on both sides, but I just put up a lot of them.

This is the third set I have bought they really do work, I was inundated with doves sitting on patio rail, patio chairs and table and leaving their poop behind, I had to throw my chair cushions and patio carpet away because of this so I bought these, with the strip you can wrap round patio and these shine and move around and since I put them up last summer I have had no birds "Nesting" on my patio and my new furniture and carpet are free of the poop. And, as an added bonus they seem to deter the bees too I was always having to remove their little hives but I have had none at all since last year, I think the wind and movement and the shimmer have deterred even the squirrels don't come onto my patio anymore. So if you are looking for bird etc deterrents don't just take my word for it try them BUY THESE THEY WORK trust me.

These are well made as far as construction goes. The thing that surprised me is that they are only one-sided. Maybe I'm being unrealistic, but I just assumed that both sides would be printed...so I knocked off one star for that. With that said, I knocked off another star because the product didn't work for me - that's not to say it's a bad product, just didn't scare away the birds around my house.

Bought these to keep birds from making nests in my garage. They also sometime come in and get captured, they cannot figure out how to fly low to go out the door. I hung them with key rings on my door hinges so that when it is open, they hang and catch any light or breeze. Only a few birds have come in and all have stayed low because the diverters are hanging high, then they scoot out as quickly as they can. The real test was this spring. There were no bird nests!!! I cannot attest to their weatherproof quality as they are in the garage all the time. I am going to put some on my front porch where I have lots of problems with droppings that require power washing to get them completely gone. I'll update their effectiveness once they are there for a few weeks this summer.

I have a problem with turkey vultures perching on my deck. I put a diverter about every 10 feet on my deck rails. The eye pattern is on only one side, so when the wind blows it can turn it around and it no longer faces out and is useless. I guess I will try drilling a hole in the bottom and secure it on both top and bottom so it won't flip. But I think you still want it to move some to flash the sun. In any case, the turkey vultures are back about as often as before so I don't think this is working well. I'm going to try the reflective tape next.

Works great. I have not had to clean bird poop off my porch furniture since I put these up. Very happy customer. Highly recommend them

Son un poco más grandes de lo que pensé (casi dl tamaño de la mano de un adulto) y solo tienen diseño en una cara, por lo que si los colocas colgando contra una pared y sopla el viento probablemente quedará expuesta la carasin diseño. Al principío dudé si serían eficaces... ¡y sí lo son! Ya no se acercan urracas, palomas ni golondrinas. Contra los gorriones (los que conocemos como "chillones") parece no ser tan efectivo, pero ellos no son los que me molestaban.

Product does not work in the slightest. Had a woodpecker problem. Bought these hoping they would help, woodpecker worked right beside it, maybe thought it would be his friend. Other birds don't care about it either. Complete waste of money.
