was it well sewn into? I just saw a picture in the customer images and it looks really bad sewn into.

Mine seems to be very well made. The stitching appears very neat and trim and tight. The zipper is inserted properly and is easy to zip and unzip.

Will it fit an apple pencil with a silicone skin?

My son keeps his Apple Pencil with protective tip and end covers in this case and the elastic could hold two pencils without a problem. Plenty of width and the elastic stretches to slide the pencil in as well as hold them. Also, he found it will fit on either side of the pencil case because he prefers to store his Beats wireless earbuds in the half where you see the pencil in the photo.

Can someone please give the dimensions? The ones listed are obviously wrong.

Yes. The case is approximately 8 1/4” long, 3” wide, 1 1/2” thick.

Is this case waterproof?

No, I do not believe this is waterproof. You cannot sumberge it it water. However, it may provide some protection of the items inside if it is zipped closed and you happen to spill something on it or near it. I would not recommend taking any chances and would not keep it near drinks or items that can spill. I really like this case though.
