Lovely little book
My daughter checked this book out from her library and she loved it so much we purchased it. She is 6yo and reads about a 1st grade level. She can read this book independently but also loves to have us read it to her. It is a sweet story about a puppy trying new things even when they are scary. The drawings are precious. Great for any puppy lover or anyone who feels worried!

No worries, it's a delightful and calming book!
Many kids are anxious about all kinds of situations. This is a charming story about Murray who worries about everything. It is reassuring and delightful and highly recommended!

Murray is a worrier!
Murray is a dog who worries about everything! - Luckily he has a loving and reassuring human in his life that comforts and reassures him by saying "Don't worry, Murray...". This is an original and warmhearted story by the author of the hilarious 'Interrupting Chicken' series and 'Hush Little Bunny', among others. This is special story, perfect for the start of the school - for very young students (it was one of the first things that I thought of when reading it) because Murray's fears - loud noises, going outside, trying new food, and meeting new dogs - could easily translate to a child. It is also for dog lovers - as they well know that dogs have fears and anxiety just as humans do. I know that I mention young children and dogs, but even older children and adults - don't go through life without some degree of fears and anxiety - thus reading this book aloud and discussing it with an audience/class works as encouragement and reassurance for both/all parties involved!

Love this book for my little worrier
Two things I almost never do: 1) Write reviews online. 2) Buy new books. (We use our public library a ton, and have a small collection of used books.) BUT I'm doing both today because I love this book so much and find myself so sad to return it to the library. It's been great for my little worrier (age 3), who pets and comforts Murray the dog in each scenario shown in the book. Really great for her emotional and empathetic learning. If looking for books on worry for little ones, I also highly recommend "Don't Worry, Little Crab" by Chris Haughton.

Sweet illustrated book
I got this book for my baby (it’s well above his pay grade) because we have a dog named Murray. It’s a sweet story with cute illustrations. I don’t know the perfect age - maybe 3 or 4 - but I’ll be getting this for all of my friends’ kids :-).
