Did I spend 40 bucks on a net? Does this not come with a hammock?

Yes. This net is a sold-separately product.

Does it come with tree straps?

The hammocks do not come with hanging straps. The Guardian Bug Net does not need straps as it attached to the carabiners at the ends of each hammock.

How is the zipper oriented? Is it vertical on one side or does it run the length of the bug net?

This bug net does not have a zipper. It is closed via cord cinches at both ends.

Great bug nut

I have used this three times for campouts and backpacking. It's very effective bug nut and hangs well over my hammock.

Love this product!

Quality, appearance, fit, and versatility of this product is impeccable. Works really well with my double ENO hammock. Very light weight and zips with ease. I was skeptical due to the price because there were so many private label brands that were half the price but like the old saying “you get what you paid for!”

Challenging to setup the first time.

It is great when setup but was somewhat challenging to setup the first time. I am glad that I tested the gear before going on a long trip. I wouldn’t want to set it up for the first time in the fading daylight.

Good size. I have a double hammock (not sure if this is made for it or if there is a larger one) but it worked perfect for just me. Kept the bugs away in the mountains. Love ENO
