Live on dirt in Baja, AZ, have wrestled with various and sundry degrees of rubber hoses for DECADES. I LOVE the advance of technology and American innovation. Or Chinese innovation, copying American innovation. Whatever - I benefit. I am in the process of replacing most of the rubber hoses supplying precious H2O to my plants and garden with these. They don't kink, we have yet to see how they hold up under the brutal Tucson sun but I'm optimistic. These snakes are worth every penny per pound. I have to drag hoses around, skirting rocks, mesquite thorns and cacti and these will NOT puncture. Haven't really noted the heat retention in resting hoses - always a consideration when initially watering plants - how hot is the initial H2O exiting the nozzle? Why torture the thirsty plants already than the hot soil is? But so far, with a blistering beginning to the Monsoon season, the hoses have performed exemplarily. As to freezing, I cannot address that. Last Winter, we had no freeze. Perhaps an intrepid purchaser from the Northeast would try one out this Winter - oh. That's right. You don't water during the Winter because plants are either dead or dormant. So I guess we're stuck with my impressions of how these amazing hoses perform and endure in the Sonoran Desert Southwest. I HIGHLY recommend. PLUS, depending on the length you order, you get various premiums, like extra hose washers (ALWAYS a gonga...) and a spare operable nozzle. One length I ordered had a high-pressure nozzle included! My yard will eventually look like Medusa's hair style, but my garden and plants and I will be happy campers.

I bought this a couple years ago to use as a black water flush hose on my rv. I recently bought another one to use as my fresh water hose because I love it so much and I don't cook or drink from my rv tank, so I don't need the special "drinking water" hose anyway. I hated that hose! I'm so happy with the new set up. I wish I would have done this a long time ago. This hose is just so easy to work with. It takes so little space to store. Never kinks. It drains out easily by just holding the center high and giving it a shake before wrapping it up to put away. It never knots. Never does anything annoying. I still run it through a filter to fill my fresh water tank, plus there is a filter within my rv lines. So plenty to protect my hot water tank, pump, etc. The water is plenty safe for showers, washing dishes, etc. I've always kept separate "drinking water" on board. The hose should be the least of your concerns when filling your tank at an old campground anyway. That "drinking water" hose rating isn't going to save you.

Very sturdy, does not kink, can pull through a cattle wire fence with ease! I wasn't so impressed with the sprayer on the end, but I didn't really need it. I needed a hose that I didn't have to fight with when filling my horse's tanks each day! This one is the one that works! Highly recommend!

This is the third Bionic Steel Garden Hose that I have purchased from Amazon. I really like them. I have a large yard and have to put two together to reach the areas I need to hand water, like my parking strip and some bushes. For some reason I only had a secondary water spigot in my back yard. Works good, light weight, easy for a senior person to handle. Only bad thing is they only last about 2 years. This morning one strung a good leak, soaked me good. So, I ordered this one today and it arrived a few hours later and I'm ready to water again. I don't know about that new nozzle, I'll give it a try, for now the old one fits.

EXCELLENT HOSE!! I purchased a different hose the day before, which was terrible. Water would not go past the half way point in the hose. Plus it tangled terribly. I sent that one back and purchased this hose from Amazon. This one is great!! Light - durable - seems like it will never kink - brass fittings!! Great hose! It was only about $10 more than the one I sent back - but well worth it!

I bought this to replace another steel hose, from a competitor, that sprung a leak in the middle, after only a couple years. This hose looks the same, but has a nicer feel, with good rubber sheathing at both ends, and comes nicely packaged in a box. The jet nozzle included is excellent, too, operating smoothly, all metal, looks like brass, and with a tight seal to the hose, no leaking. I had a couple questions, prior to purchase, and found the seller very responsive, answering quickly, usually within 24 hours.

This is a really good quality hose for your house, strong and easy to use. The hose kit includes a good nozzle and additional o/rings, strongly recommend.

We bought one and it lasted three months before it sprung a leak and was spraying water all over the user. The inner hose ruptured, but the metal was completely undamaged. It sucks, but it's the only hose we've had last that long, so we bought two more and now they are the only hose we will use, other than the odd soaker hose. Be careful when stepping near it. It rolls like no other, and there have been more than a few times that it's caused a fall. In the early spring it's my favorite hose because it soaks up the sun and heats the water a bit. However, in the summer be careful if it's been left out all day in the sun. The water that comes out of it for the first minute or two will be boiling hot. I do love the kink resistance. It's so nice when you've got some traveling around the garden/property to do. It's also nice that if someone happens to park their heavy wheel barrow on it while you're watering you won't notice until you need to move it. We leave ours laying in the yard year round. We should store it, but we've got so much else to do we just forget about it until we need it. The sprayer nozzle that came with them was a joke. they were mostly made of plastic and broke in less than a month.

Hasta ahora funciona muy bien. Las otras mangueras de plástico la perforaba el perro. Es fácil de guardar. El único PERO es que la manguera que me entregaron ya se había usado. Tenía agua en su interior. Muy mal de quién revisa las condiciones de los productos devueltos y que los venden como si fueran nuevos.

This hose is light weight, doesn't kink and is pucture proof with normal use. Far superior to a rubber garden hose.

Works as expected - easier to use than a plastic hose.
