At first I was really worried that these were not going to actually hold up my kayak but boy was I wrong we bought a two pack so that we can hang up both of them and they did very well a hearing to a metal wall with that being said we had to use a different set of screws so that it would fit and hold the weight of the kayak through the metal wall very happy with his purchase and I am glad that I am prolonging the life of my kayak by getting it off the ground

I bought this for my kayaks to hang them out of the way, up against the wall. After two years they still are doing great. A+ rating

Does the job. Holding a 45lb. Kayak. Had to add washers, as metal is thin and screw slipped through opening.

These do exactly what they advertise... and do it very well. I purchased the brackets rated for 100lbs. They're built like a tank. Solid. The foam pads are thick and durable, so they should protect whatever you hang on these for many years. I skimmed through some of the negative reviews here and they should all be removed. Folks leaving negative reviews because their package was lost... bless their hearts. A package getting lost has nothing to do with how this item performs and doesn't warrant a negative review for the product. People hanging these on drywall alone should also stick to their day job. If you hang anything that weighs 100lbs on anything that's only fastened to drywall, of course it'll fail. For those of us who understand how physics work, anchor these bad boys to a stud behind the drywall, and your spouse would be able to successfully hang YOU from these hooks, if that was ever warranted, with confidence they'll do the job. And do it well. I use these hooks for heavier mountain bikes and I have total confidence the bikes will never fall off the wall with these holding them up. When I hung the hooks, I decided to do some pull-ups on them. I weigh more than 200lbs. While doing the pull-ups, I swear I heard one of the hooks laugh and say "is that all you got?!". Wasn't sure if that was the beverage I had just consumed really talking or indeed one of the hooks, but my security camera footage clearly shows me doing pull-ups on them, no problem. If you need to hang a bike, a ladder, a kayak or need to do pull-ups more regularly, these will do the job, and then some. See my pics.

These worked great for me. But ......... I replaced the screws provided with the hangers with #14 x 3 inch screws. Then fastened the hangers through the wall board to the wall studs. The # 14 screws are almost the size of the holes in the hangers. So, I was able to get a tight fit to the wall with no rocking back and forth of the hangers. One kayak is 12' long and weighs 38 pounds. The other is 10' long and weighs 32 pounds. The hangers hold them easily and let them lay against the wall securely. No need to tie them in place.

These hooks are securing my 35-foot fiberglass extension ladder, which is slightly over the 100-pound rating in the listing. They seem sturdy enough, but a word of caution: do not rely on the plastic anchors for heavy items! The included anchors are only rated for up to 25 pounds, and you definitely don’t want something heavy falling off your wall. Make sure to mount these directly into studs for maximum security. The hooks themselves are of decent quality, with a thick EVA coating that provides good protection against scratches and pressure marks. All parts arrived as expected, and installation was straightforward. However, it would be a significant improvement if the package included clear instructions on when to use the anchors versus when to drill into studs. Overall, these hooks are a solid choice for organizing heavier items in your garage or utility space, as long as you take care with installation.

The bracket itself and rubber protector are high quality and strong. As others have said, the included screws are too short with heads too small. I used 1/4" x 4" tapcon screws because their head is countersunk and sinks neatly and flush into the recess of the hook. You can get 8 for $8 at big box store. Officially they are for concrete but they work in wood too. I drilled a 1/8" pilot hole to avoid splitting the stud. By the time the screw has passed through the 1" hook and 3/4" drywall, that leaves just over half the 4" screw in the stud, which is perfect. If you don't want to buy a stud finder you can use small magnets to find the drywall screws which are in the studs. Everyone should have a set of magnets which you can get for under $3.

Before I did any of the following; I attempting to install this product utilizing only the hardware provided and limited directions through the seller page (there is none in the box). After finding out that the screws don't reach the studs I attempted to dry wall mount this system. The rack claims to hold 60 lbs per bracket and comes with dry wall anchors. Out of the box you can tell these anchors are garbage and will not do the job. I supplemented these with 75 lb test anchors and mounted them to the wall. After loading my kayaks, which weigh 57 lbs each, the racks were wobbly and not secured (should have taken a photo of that). This was removed while I found a new way to make these work. Install/Hardware Issue: This item should be able to screw into studs. However the screws provided in the kit are not long enough to make it through all of the bottom mounting hole of the rack, the dry wall, and successfully seat into the stud. Because of this, as you can see in the pictures, I lag bolted 2x4s to the wall and then mounted the bracket to the 2x4. This was a simple fix but should not be required by the customer rather than just making the issued screws 1/4-1/2 inch longer. Sturdiness: I highly doubt this product can hold the weight it is claiming to. In the pictures you can see the system is bending with less than half the weight its claimed to hold. This is only after modifications, without them, this rack system barley holds in the wall. Value for money: It's a cheap system and I am utilizing it for its maximum potential. If you have half a tool box and some longer screws laying around this will work just fine to hold up ladders or other light weight garage components. I will say again, it shouldn't be the customers problem that the hardware is insufficient for the job it is claiming to be capable of. I will probably end up replacing the system completely or buying 1-2 additional racks to support the weight as well as back stopping the fall out from the lack of dry wall the system no longer has. If these fall off and crush my wife's car I'll let ya'll know.
