No it comes with a splitter cable so you connect both z-axis motors to same port on board

Is this kit compatable with the ender 3 max?

I believe this is for a 250 mm z height. If you bought the correct height lead screw it work work. Measure your other lead screw which should be around 500 mm and order one with this kit and it will work fine.
