Good moulds which work perfectly

This onigiri mould set is brilliant value for money. The moulds themselves feel sturdy and strong, and they hold their shape really well when pressing the rice. You get different shapes and tools in the pack, which makes it easy to create a variety of onigiri without any fuss. Everything is simple to use and easy to clean, and the results come out neat every time. A great little kit if you enjoy making onigiri or want to try it for the first time.

It was less than £7 when I ordered this and came with £1 off if you applied voucher before checkout by the 19th August. Paid extra for shipping by 1pm in case it wouldn’t get to me on time as it was a last min thought for a picnic. I was worried as I read reviews of it breaking. Never made Onigiri before so I wasn’t sure if the mould would need oiling to prevent sticking. It was so easy, kids could use it. I watched no tutorials online, just common sense really. 1.Put half the amount of rice you want and gently pack it(not too much, to the halfway mark). 2. Make a little cavity in the middle for filling(I air fried some seasoned salmon, and added a little kewpie mayo. 3. Add more rice to cover and gently press rice down to flatten a little before using lid to “punch”/“decompress”. 4. Lightly press the middle of the back where “push button/gappy bit” is… give a little tap when you tip it over into your palm. Viola! All done! Can’t believe I’ve been paying £4.50 for one Onigiri in little takeaway shops. Never again. Note: I added furikake flakes to Japanese rice I cooked in my rice cooker. Tossed lightly to mix, didn’t add any oil or any other seasonings. Then wrap with some Korean or Japanese toasted seaweed sheets that you cut to the measurements you like. (Only just before you eat). I let the rice cool to touch before making these, then wrapped them in cling film (or whatever eco friendly wrap you prefer) indivially. Wrap seaweed around when you unwrap your Onigiri before eating. :D Speedy delivery, came on time. Very simple to use. Effortless. Value for money. I highly recommend. Great for kids too, for some indoor fun at home, also great for impressing friends or a bonding activity with your partner at home for a cute date night. 🥰 I’m so happy! Good quality, thick plastic, made onigiri the night I got them and have been using them regularly since due to the ease this product creates. Easy to clean too.

The rice doesn't come out easily from the mould. Need loads of practice to be better.

Exactly what we needed - easy to use. Great to have three sizes/shapes. So much easier and less messy than trying to work by hand!
