Is there a cost to return if it doesn’t fit ?

you would have to ask the seller. I had good results with my particular issue.

Can it get wet? Would it survive being on a bathroom floor?

Well, my dog peed on my rug and I was able to wet and scrub it, but I'm not sure after being wet everyday from showers if it's the best option because it can't really absorb water like that.

Clean spills immediately by blotting with a clean sponge or cloth. Professional cleaning recommended. For vacuuming, use a vacuum cleaner without a beater bar or one where you can set the bar to the highest pile setting. If your vacuum has variable power settings, set on low. Vacuum full length of the rug, turn and repeat to the next area, rather than back and forth motion.
