Great quality and just like my original key
I bought this a my old key fob was slightly broken. The quality is really good and seems almost identical to the original key. The only difference is the buttons are a little more rigid but this feels quite good quality. Very happy and works really well! Would benefit from coming with some instructions but I found some online instead!

Perfect replacement!
My original key fob casing was worn, the buttons were cracked. I bought this and the procedure was straightforward. You will need cir-clip pliers or regular long nose pliers to split apart your existing key fob. You should also check for a very informative VW Skoda SEAT video on YouTube by The Car Key Man. No instructions are provided by the seller. All parts were included - be careful to keep the tiny metal pin that comes in its own bag. The only issue I had was when transferring the original key over to the new fob. The original button was too broad to fit in the new fob. I used the replacement fob button and the key flips out without an issue. It is a bit tricky to get it all together and you should try the key flip a few times to make sure it operates properly and that it doesn't stick. Be careful if you are also transferring the battery that you wear non-conductive gloves. It's possible to drain the battery using fingers alone. Also try the buttons to make sure the car locks and unlocks BEFORE you put the little pin in place. Once that pin is in place, the only way to get the fob apart will destroy it. Note that the fob does not come with a circuit board inside. The blade on the replacement key can be milled by a locksmith to match your original key if required.

Great produce but buy the extra tools and watch some tutorials to save yourself a lot of hassle.
Great price and feels good in the hand compared to an original fob. I snapped my key off my old Jetta mk.6 fob after being a little forceful (please don't ask) so after getting home I needed a replacement, the internals of my fob and the key itself were fine, I found only the pin holding the key blade itself was broken so I bought this and swapped them both over. No fault of the product but I had a lot of trouble simply because I wanted to swap the key blade instead of having the supplied blank cut, I didn't have the correct tools to remove the pin, so while I eventually managed I highly suggest watching a few videos online of the process and buying the tools they use to make the job viable. The only part that was a faff was the spring for the key, make sure you do it correctly the first time or you'll be pulling it apart again like I did.

Fiddley but worth it....
On the old key the socket which the key blade fits into had sheered off. So the plan was to swap my old blade into the new key. To do this you need knock a tiny pin out on the new key, this releases the blank key blade allowing you to use your own key blade. Beware the blade of the vw original key is slightly bigger so I had to carefully file one side down to make it fit. Overall it was fiddly but worth it for the price. Also I couldn't get the spring tension right to allow the key to flick out. This is our only key so the fact i can now start and drive the car for ยฃ8 is a bonus!!

Hopeless
The most unfit for purpose product I've ever bought from amazon. Chip board from old key didn't fit and old cut key was too big to replace the blank by some distance. Not sure what I was expecting for 7 quid!
