I like the fact it is very portable and importantly has a polarising light. It is good for examining skin lesions and the colours it produces are also very good. Negative points are no graduated scale and the pictures with my Samsung s10 are always a bit out if focus. Unsure if other phones my produce a better picture. It is better then some dermatascopes costing over £1,0000, but some of these I have used are clearly much better and produce hugely better pictures. But this is great value and compact.

I ordered this as a replacement for the scope provided by the surgery. I had an old iPhone that I use with this scope and it is much less hassle than the Heine delta one, which is too heavy for any phone fitting I’ve used. I always had complaints about the quality of the photos when I sent the to the dermatology team, but not since I bought the Skiary. Easy to use, great photos, no graticule but that’s easily solved with the use of tape measure. No complaints at all

for the price, I expected to get usful, sharp pictures. I tried this item on several phones and could noyt get a decent immage of of any of them. a complete waste of money. On a good note, the return/refund process was painless.

I use dermoscopy regularly for work. I was excited not just by the price but by the fact this has a uv light, a new very interesting aspect of dermoscopy. Sadly, to my disappointment, the image quality really lacks enough detail to safely diagnose change in moles and skin lesions. I even did with the best camera I have, and under optimal contact conditions but still couldn't identify any clarity in a mole with a fairly clear pigment network. Returned and amazon, as always has excellent returns policy agreed to free of charge.

There was such a hype about it in one of the reviews from the dermatoscopy courses. And i was excited to finally find something which was affordable at a fraction of the price. But i was disappointed soon enough. I agree with some of the reviewers. It does not offer clarification on the nature of the lesion. I dont see it being useful in my work. The attachment to the camera is a hassle especially with the newer phones with multiple camera lens. Oh well...
