Color My Art: Surreal Fantasy: Grayscale & Underpainting Coloring Book

I absolutely love the art in this book. Easy to color and decent paper. Each picture is duplicated with a black backing. That doesn't bother me because I think there is aa good variety of pictures to begin with.

Amazing images. So different from other coloring books!! I just finished my first page and the sheer strangeness of it has won me over. I love all the different images in this. Not your typical coloring book

There are no words that can describe the beauty of this book the detail and art are amazing I almost don't want to put any color on it if there were not copier I would just keep the book for its art alone. I am very happy with my purchase.

I've only recently learned to love grayscale and this is a book that's something beyond beginner level but not so far above moderate that I can't keep up. It's deliciously quirky and fun and there's plenty of room for personal interpretation, especially in the backgrounds, that will change the entire look of the image. I wish, wish, wish I could give this five stars because I really like certain things about this book, things that I mentioned above, along with that it repeats each page so you have a chance to color each image twice. The problem is the paper (isn't it always the darn paper?). It feels weird. It's floppy and even though the designs are only printed on one side of the page, the paper is so thin, you can see the image from the next page through the one in front of it. The tooth is okay but I think it's more a feature of the paper being weird than anything else.Despite the strange paper, I still want to buy Ikuko's other book and I enjoy this one. It's fine using Prismacolors, Polychromos or pastels, although you have to be very careful and use a light hand with blenders.

Creative & unique illustrations. Very fun book.

I just received my copy of this book and for the most part I really liked it EXCEPT for the images where the artist added "clip art" I know other artist do the same thing, but it stands out from the page and I just don't like that.

Ordered for my wife - very different but pretty...... but she is super excited and seems very happy I'm sure she will want to order more.

A great book - I saw Ann Siggers a dear friend of mine color in the book, so I wanted to get it too - Its great !

Own a few of her books and loved the 2 sample pages I got in one of this book so I just had to get it! It's got lots of intere#ting pictures and the slight grey scale will help elevate anyone's color game tenfold!!

The media could not be loaded.  El libro es con ilustraciones en escala de grises. Son ilustraciones mágicas, fabulosas, todas ellas muy originales, bonitas y muy inspiradoras. Tengo 3 libros de este artista y todos ellos me encantan. Me parece un gran ilustrador.El libro tiene un formato de 21.6 x 27.9 cm. Tapa blanda, con brillo y agradable al tacto. El papel es fino, el papel común utilizado en estos libros. Impreso a una sola cara del papel por lo que se puede colorear con cualquier medio sin preocuparte de estropear el siguiente dibujo; de todas formas yo siempre recomiendo poner una hoja gruesa por debajo del dibujo que estás pintando para asegurarte que no se mancha la siguiente hoja ¡Sobretodo si usas rotuladores de alcohol asegúrate de hacerlo! . La primera parte del libro es con 24 ilustraciones y las hojas de detrás del dibujo en blanco, y la segunda parte del libro son las mismas 24 ilustraciones con las hojas de detrás en negro. Un total de 48 dibujos para colorear. A mi parecer es un libro fantástico y nada más tenerlo ya he coloreado una que comparto con vosotros. Y os dejo el vídeo que es la opinión visual lo que más te puede ayudar a decidirte. Lo veo adecuado para todo tipo de público

Das etwa Din A4 große, einseitig bedruckte Malbuch beinhaltet 24 niedliche Bilder mit Kulleraugen-Kindern in fantasievollen Umgebungen. Die Bilder werden ab der Mitte wiederholt, so dass man insgesamt 48 Malvorlagen hat und ein Motiv auf zwei verschiedene Arten gestalten kann. Die Papierqualität ist einfach (ähnlich Druckerpapier), so dass man, wenn man mit Filzstiften arbeiten möchte, unbedingt ein Löschblatt o.ä. unterlegen sollte. Mit Buntstiften lässt es sich aber sehr gut malen.Das Grayscale ist auch für Malende geeignet, die noch nie Grayscale bearbeitet haben, da die Grautöne eher dezent gehalten sind und man meistens noch klare Linien hat, mit denen die Formen wie in einem klassischen Malbuch umrissen sind.Die Bilder sind unterschiedlich aufwendig, manche zeigen nur eine Figur in der Mitte, manche füllen das ganze Blatt aus, so dass man auch die Hintergründe gestalten muss.Ein wirklich schönes Malbuch für alle, die gern Gesichter malen.Angefügt drei bearbeitete Bilder, eins davon noch im "Werden".

I have numerous books, this pales all others into complete mediocrity. To say I adore it would be a gross understatement. It's unusual, interesting and the art is utterly enchanting.. Ignore all the complaints about the quality of the paper, it's really not that bad - works wonderfully with my various pencils. The fact you get 2 copies, one set with a black reverse, of every beautiful picture means you can use other mediums on these, as long as you put some card under the one you're working on no problemo!! I hope Ikuko does many more!
