HOW LONG DO VACUUM-SEALED FOODS STAY FRESH?

Freshness depends on factors such as initial germ content, preparation hygiene, storage and refrigeration conditions. The ZWILLING App calculates the approximate shelf life based on the food group and storage location (for use as a guideline only).

HOW LONG DO WARM FOODS STAY WARM IN THE CONTAINERS OR POUCHES AFTER VACUUM-SEALING?

Hot foods are not permitted to be vacuum-sealed and must always be cooled down to at least room temperature beforehand. FRESH & SAVE products do not have any insulating functions and therefore do not keep food warm.

HOW DOES THE QR CODE WORK?

The QR code links the stored food with the ZWILLING App. Once the food is approaching the end of its shelf life, the app provides a reminder in good time and helps to avoid food waste.

CAN THE PUMP ALSO BE USED WITH POUCHES/BOXES OF OTHER MANUFACTURERS? WHICH USB CONNECTION DOES THE VACUUM PUMP HAVE?

The vacuum pump is specifically designed for the FRESH & SAVE vacuum system. The vacuum pump can be charged very easily with the supplied micro-USB cable (USB 2.0 type A), and the durable lithium-ion battery lasts for a particularly long time.
