Travelpro Maxlite Air Metallic Silver Hardside Carry-On Luggage, 19-Inch

I bought this Sept 4, 2022. I waited to post a review to see how durable it is. I have carried on and I have checked this bag a few times. There are tiny barely noticeable dings from the airline handling but overall, it still looks good. I bought the cabernet color. It hold enough for a week , for me and does everything it's supposed to. I would probably purchase again and do recommend it. I registered this bag with travelpro the day after I got it. When packing for my latest trip in 4-1-23, I noticed the left side TSA lock zipper tag is gone. I have contacted Travelpro to see about the warranty and haven't gotten an answer yet. BUT when i went to their site to see about ordering the part (how much could it really be?), it appears part are now not available for this particular style/model. I am trying to ask if another similar part will suffice. So just be aware, that it may or may not be covered, even if your register the bag. The warranty was a big part of why I bought it. I will update my review when I find out for sure what is truly covered and what is not. Edited to add: The outcome was that Travelpro sent me a whole new suitcase. They didn’t have the color of my bag so I accepted a green one. Accepting a new bag, of course, negates the warranty on both the old one and the replacement. I just bought a lock for he first one . They really do honor the warranty.

Tough bag. Not to heavy. Zipper tag broke off after many trips.

Only a short time after purchasing this bag, and assuming I was making an investment for an item that would last for a decent period of time, my bag was smashed beyond repair after a long haul flight. I am lucky that I didn't lose any personal possessions because the top of the bag had been sheared totally and parts of the shell were missing. I was traveling with colleagues with almost identical bags and they had no issues. I am bitterly disappointed to have paid a solid sum for a good quality bag, only to have to trash it so soon afterwards and, worse, have to buy a new bag altogether on the trip in order to safely transport my possessions home.

Sturdy, holds a lot of clothes for a long trip, locks and zipper hold well, rolls very easily. Case doesn’t show scuffs. So far after a long multi stop trip plane, train, automobile and boat it help well. Purchased this same brand/ size a year ago and loved it so much that we got a second one. Lionel that both sides have a zipper closure. And that it is expandable if needed. And rather light weight considering size, and quality.

I purchased both the 21 and 28-inch sizes. The 28-inch is huge! I like the way it loads w/ almost equal sides because it seems to balance and handle better. It glides well w/ 8 wheels and I love the color I chose. My only concern is the fact that there are only two handles on the entire bag making it difficult to lift, move and grab off the luggage turnstile. My husband had to grab the bag by the wheels to get a hold of it and retrieve it before it went around again! I love the sleekness of the bag. I guess I need to get used to the fact that there are no outside pockets. I loaded the bag on the floor for my return trip and found it difficult to reach the top because it is so large. But on the plus side, I was able to pack clothes for a week long trip, all toiletries, extra shoes, my pillow, a stuffable winter coat and a few books! All in all I am very happy w/ this set. Will purchase the medium size for a trip to Europe because I believe the 28-inch will not be easily manageable for a 70+ senior.

It feels flimsy but it worked. Purchased the 24" for a trip that involved Air Canada. Reviews indicated that they are very strict re luggage size so I wanted to be sure I met their criteria for acceptable. It packed nicely, held most of what I needed for a 10 day cruise. A backpack held the rest. It came through baggage handling with nary a scratch. My only reservation is that the polycarbonate feels flimsy. I'm not sure one trip is a true test but it made it just fine. I liked having the TSA friendly locks, an illusion of added security. I am planning on purchasing the carryon size for my next trip

Solid, lots of room, easy to push or pull.

I have purchased Travelpro for many years. I read a book on travel, and they recommended Travelpro or other suitcases that airline staff use. They don't wear out even for heavy travelers like me. Find one that fits your travel needs. I like the clamshell because it provides a greater level of safety while traveling without external pockets. This is the one I use for international and airline travel. If I am doing a car trip, I use the one with pockets because there is more room. The one I purchased for my new wife for our honeymoon. The color is very beautiful.

Just used this bag for 2 trips. It is light weight and easy and rolls very well. You can tell it is a quality product.I travel 2X a month and this bag is perfect

Great suitcase but just a little small for what I needed. Wanted to love it but just need a little more depth.

Love love this bag. Fits in most airline specs except for the super small airlines. Check airline specs as they are getting much more stringent on size allowances. I don’t mind this because travellers are getting ridiculous on the size of their carry-ons. I gave 4 stars as the price of all bags are stupidly high. This bag is very well made and rolls along beautifully.

Bought it as a gift for someone. The color is beautiful in person and it feels sturdy yet classy.
