Does what it is intended for. These wedges are made of very solid rubber and are stackable. They are perfect for deep squats and calf raises.

This is a simple solution to people like me who like to do deep back squats but cannot avoid the dreaded "butt wink" at the bottom of a deep squat. I thought my squat form was better than it actually was until I did a video of my squats from the side and there it was, the butt wink at the bottom. I did lots of stretching and mobility work to try to eliminate the problem, but until I added these wedges, the wink remained. I am not a powerlifter, so I did not invest in squat shoes, which accomplish the same thing. Unlike squat shoes, however, the use of these wedges offers three height options by simply adding or removing one of the interlocking wedges. They are very stabile and do not slip at all.An inexpensive and simple solution to my deep squat issue.

It smells bad like chemical farts, but they are effective and dense.That said, it's 6 stackable wedges. They are nice and dense and work well for weighted squats, calf raises, etc. There is good grip and wedges are usable and stackable.

Ok yes I did buy them with the intention of elevating my squats.However I ended up using them in our weight room for all sorts of off label purposes. Mainly I use one to tilt my iPhone at a better angle on the info panel of my elliptical. It holds the phone (sometimes iPad mini) off of the panel (putting no pressure on the screen because it sits on the edge of the panel frame).I also wedge one between the rollers on my bench to— yeah, you guessed it: hold my phone.I used two wedges to hold a fan tipped backward in an open window to get fresh air, and it was HEAVEN.As for squats, the wedges make the squats feel more effective. But there are a million ways to use these wedges. I love them!

As others have mentioned, the smell of this product is absolutely awful. Absolutely overpowering right out of the packaging. I have them airing out outdoors right now before I start using them.They seem very sturdy and functional. I just hope the smell will dissipate, because seriously, it makes me retch.
