These are now my favorite socks
Nice snug fit and not too thick. They are perfect for wearing with boots. I was looking for something to replace my thin trouser socks since my life has changed and live in the Adirondacks of NY now and wear boots all winter long! Thicker than a thick trouser sock but not as heavy as you’d expect a cabled pattern sock to be. So far they’ve worn and washed well. I’m going to order more as some of my other older brand boot socks are getting baggy and falling down which is annoying. I have always hated wearing socks because of bunching and sagging but the snug fit of these makes these feel like nothing is on

Not as advertised - Not cable knit socks, very thin
The picture shows cable knit, however they are they are plain (no pattern) and thin. They are to the knee, and do work for layering in cold weather, but are certainly not as advertised.

Never in my life
Okay, so I'm what you would consider a "large woman" I'm 5' 10" with "legs that go on for days" and a few other choice perversions they've been described as... Long story short, pun intended, I'm an Amazon with legs that are half of my body. When I tell you NEVER in my life have thigh high socks ever been THIGH HIGH on my legs.... smh one size ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT fit all.... the amount of cash I've doled out just to me bet with disappointment and regret... anyway. I bought these bad boys with the utmost skepticism, above reasoning and all. LET ME TELL YOU! I was overjoyed to find out that these socks were indeed thigh high on these behemoth legs I've sprouted. If you're a thick thighed lady, these probably won't work for you. I myself border on the line of chicken legged and thick, they be tight. Nothing a little stretching can't handle, but if you have thick thighs.... these things will have your luscious legs lookin' like a busted can of biscuits. Avoid. In the aspect of warmth.... meh... a piece of paper is probably warmer. They're not thin, but I'm from Michigan warm comes in the style of thick wool. I guess over all I'm happy with this purchase.

Not tall enough
I'm 5'7" and they go to my knee (not higher)Also pretty thin - you can see skin through them. Was hoping they'd go above my knee-high boots but they don't

Super long and comfy
These are really nice socks but they are really long. I would much rather have them too long been too short! When I put these on they went way past halfway up my thigh! I had a pair of shorts on that were cotton knit, that we call cheer shorts. They are 3" shorts. These hang a little longer because they're too big, but when I had them on with those shorts it look like I had on tights. They came completely under the leg of my shorts. They come probably 10 in above my knee. I have long feet oh, I wear a size 11 shoe, but I have chicken legs. so if you have athletic built legs or big thighs and calves they probably won't be that long when you but they are not tight at all, but they are not falling down either! They're super comfy! When I folded them down like we used to do with knee socks, just below the knee, the top ribbon came all the way back down to my ankle oh. That gives you an idea about how long these are. Like I said I do have thin legs but not extraordinarily skinny. The colors cream gray white and wine are very pretty and true to color. They are not fuzzy like some socks, yet they're not nylon either, they are somewhere in between. They should not pill like some of the older cable knit knee socks would. Don't hesitate to buy. They're not some, way too small, poor quality socks from China!

Not as advertised, but still socks
A little on the thinner side and also not cable knit, but they're over-the-knee socks, so can't complain too much. Would prefer if it were cable knit and a little thicker like in the picture, though

Worth more than 5 stars! They're the only thigh high socks that I found that fit me!
These are the best thigh high socks, especially for those of us women who are tall! I've bought several kinds of thigh high socks, but because they tend to be "1-size-fits-all", I've never found any that even reach past the middle of my knee until these. I'm a bit over 5'11" tall, average size 6 jeans, and wear a women's 11.5-12.5 size shoe, the socks go at least 3" above my knee (without even stretching it to max height). I use them under my jeans and my tall English boots to help keep warm in the cold, and they definitely do the job; not to mention they're super cute! I noticed they do bunch up at the knee after a couple hours when I'm riding horses or walking a lot, but they stay up on their own if I'm not very active (i.e. in class, lounging around, etc). Plus they don't have that weird tacky strip of lining that never works past the 1st wear. I ordered several packs of both the black and colored ones, and although they are a few bucks more than the other socks on here, I can't recommend them enough- especially for us tall women!! Absolutely love them, are a bargain for the quality, and 10/10 will order again!!

Good but wouldn't say "Thick"
After a lot of research and in store shopping I found the price for 4 pairs of over the knees was unbeatable. However be wary of the reviews, I wouldn't define these as "Thick" socks. I'd say average thickness of a dress sock. If you are looking for WINTER WARMTH I'd search for wool still. I thought these would be a nice alternative to wool with how reviews read, however, not a thick winter sock. To put it to you this way, I don't think you'd need to be concerned about if they are too thick for winter boots to fit still. Cute though!

Too tight for thick thighs
After receiving these socks I gifted them to my partner as I thought she would like something like this. They do look nice but they are incredibly tight if you have thick thighs. I can say that she has not worn these since I have bought them for her and I can see why as after wearing them for some time on the day I gifted them it was clear that these were too tight and her legs were suffering from strangulation. I would recommend if you have quite thin thighs but for those girls who have a bit of meat on their legs I would stray away to be honest.
