Works best in "0" dark
I love these things you can really see far and well with them. It's also good it comes with the two straps and the carry bag for it to protect them when not in use. They also included a SD card 32 gig which is great for photos and video, and it seamlessly connects right from the c cable port to the computer to download everything. I highly recommend reading the instructions to set the time and such as it can be difficult to figure it out or forget without them. The 4 IR setting are good enough in low light settings, just make sure if your using during the daytime you keep the lense filter on the best you can..I noticed the lense filter can be a little loose and easy to come off so just be weary of that. The side straps really work great keeping it in hand so they aren't slipping all over the place and the extra sling they give you works well enough clipped to them so I can just let it hang from my neck when I'm not using them. They don't come with batteries but I got 8 AA rechargeable to run them with, they can run on just 4 on one side but I recommend keeping all 8 in for extended use, also note you cannot recharge your batteries through the c cable port which is odd, but if you have a powerbank the port does run power to them if connected or directly from an outlet if you have a long enough cord. These are great for dove hunting and scoping out areas prior to dawn or at night! They are a little big but hey the 4th IR setting makes it worth it as you can see everything in complete darkness. Well worth it 4 stars only due to some of the things mentioned above, other than that greatnight vision goggles.

Great for checking out night critters
I am impressed with the night visibility with these binoculars! Last night was a no moon night so I had to use the IR light to see anything. I could see and focus in the road 475' in front of my house. Handy to see who is walking in our neighborhood. We also have several red fox that prowl around our house and last night I saw one of them. The fox must have been able to see the IR light cause when I illuminated him he looked directly at me and then took off in the other direction. The body is sturdy with lots of cushion to protect the delicate lens and electronics from vibration, being dropped and rain. The side straps make it easy to hold onto with either hand while manipulating the different button selections on the top. The buttons have "shapes" that my fingers can distinguish between without having to break out a flashlight to see what button is where. I agree with the recommendation to use rechargeable batteries OR battery banks especially when you need to use the IR illumination. But for my use, I doubt I will use it more than 30 minutes at a time. Although this is quite an investment, these "NIGHT EYES" should last for years and be passed on to my sons when I am no longer able to use them! There are so many occasions when you would LIKE to know what is out there; This tool will answer that question. I recommend this night vision tool to anyone who would like to increase their security, discover the wildlife around them, or any of the many ways being able to see at night can improve your peace of mind.

They work
This really does work but it's not that great. It's my first time using night vision binoculars, maybe I expected too much. I tried them out in my basement with zero light and I could faintly make out my cat moving around. The binoculars come with a lot of settings which I found slightly confusing. I messed around with them for awhile and got it. These aren't the best binoculars. I would recommend getting a dedicated set of binoculars and a set of just night vision googles, not this combo. My boyfriend used them, he was in the army and definitely wasn't impressed, liked the military ones better but I am sure they are way more money.

They keep getting better
This is my third consumer level night vision product and they keep getting better and better. The image quality is really good and the features list is the most extensive I've seen in a similar product. You have to take their marketing exuberance with a grain of salt, the image isn't really as big as they say, it is a smaller screen buried deep inside that is enlarged by a huge magnifying glass. Depending on how you plan to use it that may affect how you like this product, I think you will probably have to get it and try it with your own vision to see how it works out for you. I had some people who could not see a good image at all and some who love it. But this is definitely an improvement over previous models I've owned.

Not that bad.
So my biggest complaint was I expected to use them I guess I missed the batteries not included part, I'd highly recommend you purchase rechargeable AA batteries should you plan to buy these Goggles which to me are more like a binoculars only these have night vision but basically operate like Binoculars. Taking pictures night without a tripod might lead to not clear pictures. Night vision isn't that bad, you might need to make some adjustments to the side with IR and Taking that cap off helps with getting more light into the IR when it's dark highly recommend leaving the cap on in the daytime. I'll update this post in a couple days with some pictures from night and daytime. I can say this is not military grade stuff build quality on these if they fall on a hard surface they will likely be damaged also their is no dust caps. It did include a 32GB card that was already installed that you can take out and replace with a bigger Mico-SD. Setting can be changed by having the device on and looking inside throw the big glass area not throw the eye parts and if you press the MODE you can navigate using the two buttons on the top left and using the OK button to apply settings.
