Updated Review โ Ruko F11Pro2 Drone: A Massive Upgrade from F11Mini and Outstanding Customer Service
The drone is great for beginners, but does not capture great video footage because it does not have a camera stabilization feature (gimbal) to reduce shakiness and to smooth out the video. On the other hand, picture quality is great. The reason for three stars is because I only have a 7 min flight time when recording a video. To me, that defeats the purpose. Maybe I received bad batteries, but this has been the case with both. Also, the drone says low voltage even when the battery is at 68%. When low voltage is displayed I canโt film or fly at high altitudes. Because of this, the drone does little for me other than allow me to practice flying a drone. If the battery life was better and the drone allowed me to fly and record up to a 20% battery life, I wouldโve given more stars. Update: After only three uses with one of the two provided batteries, it not longer works with the drone. The drone launches and immediately it says โdrone low voltageโ on the screen, but the battery is showing a large percentage of battery life and the image shows a drained battery. See attached image for reference. Am dropping the rating down to 2 stars. Am hopeful the manufacturer will reach out to resolve this before I contact them. Possible update to come after speaking with customer service. UPDATE: 2 Stars to 5 Stars After initially leaving a review about my experience with the Ruko F11Mini, I was very surprisedโpleasantly soโwhen Ruko's customer service team reached out to me directly. They were professional, apologetic, and genuinely wanted to make things right. They offered me two options: either keep the F11Mini and receive a full refund, or upgrade to the F11Pro2 Drone at no additional cost. This level of proactive service was unexpected and impressive, especially since I still had the option to return the drone for a refund if I wanted. Now letโs talk about the F11Pro2 Droneโand what a difference it makes. ๐น๏ธ Remote Control The remote included with the F11Pro2 is a clear step up from the one that comes with the Mini. It feels solid and comfortable in hand, and I really appreciate the ability to unscrew and store the joysticks neatly in the front of the remote. Unlike the F11Mini's lightweight, all-plastic remote that relies on WiFi and often drops connection when the drone is out of sight, the Pro2 offers a significantly better transmission range and reliability. You connect your phone directly to the remote, which means fewer interruptions in video feed and a much more stable flying experience. GPS connectivity is still present, but the Pro2 doesn't require constant recalibrationโa huge time-saver. โ๏ธ Drone Performance The F11Pro2 is larger and heavier than the Mini, so yes, you'll need to register it with the FAAโbut that process is quick (about five minutes) and costs only $5. It's worth it. The drone is powerful, responsive, and sturdy. I even (accidentally) flew it into a bush and it bounced back like nothing happenedโvery impressive durability so far. ๐ท Camera Quality This is where the F11Pro2 truly shines. The built-in 3-axis gimbal stabilizes the camera, and the 6K resolution provides clear, smooth, and professional-quality footage. Compared to the F11Mini, this is a night-and-day improvement. Whether you're taking still photos or capturing video, the quality is outstanding. ๐ Battery Life Both the F11Mini and Pro2 advertise around 30 minutes of flight time per battery. In my experience, the F11Pro2 lives up to this claim, while the Mini fell a bit short. The batteries are similar in design, though they use different charging ports. Regardless, the Pro2 gives reliable flight time, and Iโm very satisfied with the overall performance. โ Final Thoughts I couldnโt be happier with the Ruko F11Pro2 Drone. It checks nearly every box I hadโgreat build quality, smooth footage, strong battery life, and intuitive controls. The only feature it's missing is object avoidance, but honestly, thatโs something I can live without given how solid everything else is. More importantly, Ruko's customer service went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. That kind of care and attention is rare these days and deserves to be recognized. Highly recommended for beginners and experienced users alike who are looking for a reliable, user-friendly drone that delivers high-quality video and photo results. Keep up the great work, Ruko! (And if you're ever looking for product testersโI'm in!) Note: This review was not part of any promotion or incentive.

Very Cool Drone / Excellent Customer Service
This is my first drone. I bought it primarily to help inspect the roof of my house (plus to goof off with๐). After doing a bit of research, I selected the Ruko F11 Mini. The price was right for me and it had all of the features that I was looking for. After unpacking and reading the instruction manuals (everything arrived nicely packaged and not damaged), I could hardly wait for the batteries and controller to finish charging. The carrying case is perfect to store/transport the drone and all accessories. Also, from my research, the battery life on this drone is second to none among similarly sized/priced drones. Once everything was charged up, time for my maiden flight. I had no trouble going thru the start-up process. I did have to turn off/on my Wi-Fi on the phone a few times to get it to locate the drone when trying to link, but this possibility was mentioned in the manual so I was prepared for it. I started flying, just trying to get used to the controls, keeping everything slow and low. I used the whole first battery just practicing. I got right at the stated 30 minutes on the first battery. The camera views were nice and clear on my phone and the ability to adjust the camera lens in a vertical plane right from the controller is awesome. Some budget drones have this feature and some do not. On the second flight, I (mistakenly) thought I was ready to start inspecting my roof. The peak of the roof is about 32 feet off the ground. All went well for a while but unfortunately I zigged when I should have zagged at some point (new pilot error), caught the drone blades on the chimney which caused the drone to flip and then tumble down the roof and, as luck would have it, right onto the concrete driveway. This drone seemed to be pretty tough, but not that tough. With tail between legs, I sent off an email to Roku inquiring about a few parts (really just the camera frame and one of the propeller arms) to see if I could get it flying again. Ruko advised that the specific parts I broke were not sold separately, however they would provide me with a new drone for free. You cannot beat that. So my lessons learned are (1) get in way more than 30 min of practice before trying to fly in any kind of tight spaces and (2) always buy from a company with great customer service like Ruko.

Fun while it lasted... UPDATE with repair experience
PROS: โข Very nice carrying case, supplies โข Fairly easy to get started โข Decent camera, especially in this price range (4096 x 3072 =~ 12.5MP; JPG files are 3-4.5Mb each) โข Battery life is good enough, comes with extra battery โข Android App works pretty well; lots of options for paths, follow, circle, return to home... CONS: โข Broke on second flight... โข Apparently a 'headless' display would help me My first mini-drone, so I did quite a bit of research before buying this one. Mainly I was concerned about losing it or breaking it, so I wanted a return home feature, one that people said a beginner to get used to, and one that was durable. I also wanted one with a decent camera, especially for stills. The ~$100 drones clearly weren't sufficient, and I didn't want to spend $300 or more. This Ruko F11Mini fit the bill and had good reviews. I also saw a bunch of videos of people intentionally crashing the drone, and they were impressed with its surprising ruggedness. (Thereโs a video on the Ruko.net product webpage.) My second time using it, I went in my backyard of a 1/2 acre lot which is open in the middle and trees along the edges. There was a mild wind (~7mph), and I was flying at 35'. Between a little gust of wind and my poor navigating skills, it just clipped a little branch in a tree. (Here's where 'headless' would be helpful for beginners. I was intuitively trying to steer away, but since the drone was facing me, I steered it closer to the tree.) One set of propellers came off, but those are easily replaced with ones that came with the kit. It must have fallen oddly on the grass, because the left front arm cracked. I see that replacement arms are available for $26, but the repair process is rather involved. (Lots of screws, and Iโll need to buy a soldering pen.) I donโt know when Iโll get around to repairing it. It's a nice mini-drone, and does seem to be a good value in its price range, but Iโm disappointed with the durability. BTW, I used my Amazon Visa card to purchase the drone, and I submitted a claim under their breakage policy. It was denied because they said the policy does not cover โcars, boats, aircraftโฆโ UPDATE (6/5/2023) with repair experience: I purchased the replacement arm from Ruko here on Amazaon ($26 - https://www.amazon.com/Ruko-Original-Replacement-Including-Propellers/dp/B0BDRNGYTP/ref=sr_1_14?keywords=ruko+f11+mini+drone+original+replacement+arm&qid=1685980941&sr=8-14) There is a video on the Ruko site showing the steps for repair. Pay close attention! Here's what you need to do in step-by-step format: 1) Remove foot pads and 3 screws under the foot pads. Remove back plate. 2) Remove protective camera cover 3) There are TEN screws that need to be removed. You will see 8 of them clearly. I missed 2 of them that are under the back plate on either side of the circuit board. They are down deep and are not immediately visible. 4) Once all the screws are removed, the top plate should come off easily. 5) Unsolder wires from broken arm 6) Remove arm. Keep plastic piece from arm that wires go through and put it on the new arm. 7) Resolder wires making sure wires are in proper color order. 8) Reassemble and replace all screws, foot pads, etc. >> Good to go! When I tried to replace the arm, I had trouble getting the top cover off. I had not noticed those two buried screws. I want to commend Ruko support for helping me. They responded via email to a voice message I left. They walked me through the steps and identified the problem. Prompt and courteous. I'm flying again (and being more careful) and have changed my rating from 1 star to 4 stars, both because of Ruko support and because this is really a decent value-oriented minidrone. The quality of pictures is really good for this price range. (Attached photo is unedited shot.)

Incredible Entry-level Drone
This is an amazing beginners' drone. I qualify as a beginner and find that everything is easy to learn. The WiFi interface is excellent and the viewing screen allows the pilot to fly the drone using the camera's view. I love the 90 degree elevation control for the camera's lens. The pictures are amazing. There are also several operating modes that allow more advanced operation. It's maximum altitude is 390 feet which provides beautiful views of the terrain below and sunsets. The return to home function is wonderful. It automatically returns to home if signal is lost or the battery is low. Each battery provides 20 to 30 minutes of operation. The drone comes with 2 batteries. The drone is also amazingly durable. We accidentally slammed it into the house and it toppled upside-down onto the ground. The blades were unmarked as was the drone's body. I was really impressed. It was returned to flight mode within seconds of the crash. It comes with spare blades. You may never need them. This drone is an incredible bargain at this price. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. This is a beginner's drone and not a hotrod. I do miss the missing gimbal camera mount. This removes the shakes from videos. I'll save videos for my next drone. Regardless, still shots are perfect. The instructions aren't terrific but I've seen much worse. There are a number of helpful videos on YouTube and through the drone's manufacturer. It isn't difficult to fly. Get one and enjoy. It comes with a wonderful zippered travel case for taking it along your adventures. It requires no FAA registration.

F11 Pro (and F11 mini). Two great beginner drones
I purchased both the F11 mini and the F11 Pro. The mini's really zippy and the control's are ultra responsive. Both are easy to launch. The Pro is better at maintaining position. This isn't unexpected, the mini's pretty light. A Beaufort rating for each would be nice. ...like kites have (or used to have when i flew dual-line kites). Both have good apps and the mini's app has a built in tutorial. I only practiced with the Pro for about half a battery. The one-touch launch is really nice. It rises to about 6ft and then drops down to 3ft and hovers in place. Navigating it around a small area was relatively simple. Turning it left or right caused it to raise or lower a bit. i was able to anticipate and correct for this after a few trials. It would be nice to configure the responsiveness of the flight controls. Something similar to the way a touch-pad or mouse can be configured. Edit: The camera on the replacement Pro is working great. 5 stars now. Although I've seen questions, answers, and reviews that say the Pro can only take 32G drives, or larger (if FAT32 and partitioned), I put a 128G drive into the drone. The Pro has a sticker on the drive slot that says it only takes 32G. On the other hand, Amazon's comparison table says it takes 128G. Not that i completly trust the info. The F11 Pro formatted it for me - very quickly, i might add - and as you can see in the pic, it recognizes it. It looks like 128G works just fine. The return will get here tomorrow! I'll update the rating and add more Pro comments after i get to fly it a bit more. โ----- Update: Received the replacement, updated the rating, took a few pics and vids. I successfully downloaded them from the SD card to my tablet.

This drone is fantastic!!
So this is my second drone. First one crashed after purchase and never got another one until now. So I am still a beginner. And very happy with my purchase! I do have to say this little drone is fantastic! It is super easy to control and set up. Easy to fly and operate. Camera quality is fantastic. The app makes everything super easy. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Being a beginner, I did crash a couple times but it's held up really well, just a couple scratches. I did replace 1 set of propellars. Battery runs as stated. Overall fantastic! I haven't tried sorry mode yet so I don't have a review on that but I am super excited to try for fireworks. I did have one small issue where one of the arm screws completely fell out and another came loose during flight, threw the whole thing completely outta whack and I had to force it to stop. I haven't replaced the one screw yet but I did tighten the other and it works just fine now. Besides the 2 "issues", propellars\screws, this thing is fantastic! Will upgrade to the bigger one at some point. Hopefully my review helps! UPDATED 7-7-23 So I had mentioned a couple of small issues withy drone. On the 4th, one of the motors in one of the arms just burned out. Potentially something got into the motor and burned it out. A++ for customer service. I got in contact with them and they asked for the flight log. Found what was wrong, which was the motor. They are now sending me a new drone without accessories, but I'm 110% cool with that, as I can now get flying again. Way to go customer service, this is how you keep customers happy!

OK, but not great
This drone seems very "fussy" compared to others I've flown: tiny movements of the joystick result in jerky flight motion. The setup before each flight is lengthy: from the time I open the case until it is airborne is at least 5 minutes. I used it to examine issues on my roof, but once the drone flew to a section with no line-of-sight, it just stopped and wouldn't respond until I walked around to the other side of the house. This has happened several times, so it doesn't seem to be a one-time glitch. That said, the camera is very good, and when I was able to get in in position, I was able to see what I needed. I haven't tried it in an open field; it might be much better in that situation.

Ruko F11MINI is a fantastic drone that offers great value for the price
I recently purchased the Ruko F11MINI drone, and I must say, I really enjoy flying it! As an avid drone enthusiast, I find this model to be quite user-friendly and packed with features that make it worth the investment. **Pros:** - **Ease of Use:** The Ruko F11MINI is easy to set up and operate, making it great for both beginners and more experienced pilots. The controls are intuitive, which allows for a smooth flying experience. - **Customer Service:** I had issues with drone WiFi connection and after a few back and forth emails they sent me a replacement drone. They were prompt and helpful, which definitely added to my positive experience with the product. - **Portability:** The compact design of the drone makes it easy to transport. It's lightweight and fits well in a small backpack. **Cons:** - **Video Stability:** While the drone captures decent quality video, I did notice that it can be a little shaky at times. Itโs not a deal-breaker for me, but I would have loved a bit more stability in the footage. Overall, the Ruko F11MINI is a fantastic drone that offers great value for the price. Despite the slight shakiness in the video, the ease of use and stellar customer service outweigh this minor drawback. I would definitely recommend this drone to anyone looking to get into aerial photography or just have some fun flying!
