A set of four bowls with a blue lotus abstract pattern on an offwhite base.These came delivered in a really thick polystyrene box, with the four bowls taped firmly together inside, and with a layer of polystyrene material between each bowl. There was no chipping, no breakages and no flaws. Expertly packaged with a view to keeping the products safe over long distances.The seller states these bowls are chip-resistant, microwave safe and dishwasher safe, which is quite an accomplishment for porcelain bowls.As my pictures show, they are beautifully designed. The bowl section is an attractive shape with a very nice "foot" at the bottom. I have to admit I thought these would be closer to rice bowls size, for which the design would have been perfect, but when I opened the box I saw they were really too large to use for just rice bowls and so will have a multitude of uses on the dining table.There is a nice bit of weight to each bowl, they are certainly not flimsy - although I will take extra care when washing them, always by hand, as I do with all my tableware.Soups, a small rice dish, ramen/noodles, a salad dish, cold and hot desserts and puddings - these really are a good size for general use and, I have to say, they are really lovely to look at and will grace any table.Priced at £33.96 at the time of this review for a set of 4 bowls, I suggest you ignore the section in brackets that says £2.26/count because that is clearly incorrect, it should be £8.49/count. Now that price is enough to make a lot of people gulp and shiver but I would suggest you pause a moment and look again at all the pictures. These are not cheap bowls you can buy at a local market, these are beautifully designed, manufactured to a high standard and, now that I have had a chance to see and hold them, I can say they are worth every penny. There are matching small plates if you like to have as much of your tablewear matching as possible, but these would also look perfect set against darker contrasting colours.All in all, expensive but worth every penny. I am certain that my ramen dishes will taste even better using these bowls.

These are beautiful, every day bowls. I have got the lotus set and they are perfect for cereal and soup, etc. They look pretty and go well with my country cottage theme. They are simple in design and have a small round base at the bottom of the bowl to keep it steady. They are easy to load in the dishwasher and are dishwasher safe. They are medium thickness, so feel sturdy enough to hopefully survive a little knock but cannot be guaranteed.This is a lovely set and i am very happy with it!
