These are very well made. The little sticky pads enhance the already sturdy brackets and the wood is simple & elegant. I keep looking for more reasons to get them!

I have about 15 books between these two bookends and they hold them up very well. Be sure that they're placed in a visible spot (rather than in a bookcase) as they're beautiful.

I needed a bookend that could support large heavy books that would not slip and also look good. These bookends do the job quite well. On the proper surface, they do not slip. The wood is attractive and well-finished. My only complaint is that a very minor slight "ding" in the lower corner of the wood is present on 2 of them (I currently have 3 sets and have ordered 2 more). I believe that this wood injury occurred during manufacturing or packing and is not related to shipping. I turned them around and the efficiency outweighs this small cosmetic defect! Update: I now have 6 sets. Highly recommended. No additional problems with finish quality either. Update: I now have 12 sets total - a pair for each book shelf.

Thoroughly Holds my books on shelf

I got these because my cats kept knocking over my decorative bookends on a free-standing sofa table. They rub their faces on the books and send the bookends flying. But these suckers will not move no matter how hard my cats love them. The style fits in very well with my vaguely mid-century library style living room. They are unobtrusive, and support approximately 20 thick books between them, and the books do not move a millimeter. Bookends 1, cats 0.

Perfect size to keep up my row of books. Nice weight. They look great and function just as you would expect. A perfect set of bookends.
