51" tall 9 year old and the size M fit him fine. It looked really small
I don't usually write reviews, but I do read them so I thought I would write this one to give you my opinion on size. I needed a boys black leather vest fast for Halloween. This vest was available in a size medium via prime shipping. It arrive on time and perfectly packaged. I agree with all the other reviews, it is short. My son is a small, skinny, 54 pound, 51" tall 9 year old and the size M fit him fine. It looked really small, but when he tried it on it fit with snaps closed. It was a tad bit too short (came just above his waist), but perfect for his Halloween costume. It is a nice lightweight leather and for me that was just fine.

I wish I would have paid attention to the comments
I bought this vest for my 8 yr old nephew. I even ordered a size up from what I thought for sure would fit him because, well, we all know how it goes when buying clothing online. Boy, I should have listened to the comments. The product is so so small that there is no way that my nephew would EVER be able to fit into it. Do not believe the sizing chart.

Very short but seems decent quality
Bought a size medium for a 7YO, skinny side of 50 lbs, and pretty tall for his age. I wish it were a few inches longer or labeled as a cropped vest but I am up against the wire and the price was good for something he will only wear a couple of times.
