I don't know what Dell was thinking when they made the input power jack on the XPS 15 and funny pin centered 2.5mm port, but NO other 19.5V power supply appears to use that output jack. But LOTS of power supplies use a 5.5mm barrel plug. This converts the power supply to the Dell, and the convenient right angle is a bonus.

Exactly right and nice, compact size.

This adapter is well built with now loss parts. If functions properly with my Fremo X700 solar power bank. I really like the right angle as this allows cable to naturally hang off the vertical surface of the Fremo X700I've had no problems with it.

I bought this before realizing that the Dell (2024) models use a "smart" power adapter interface. The mechanical fit is fine but no matter how powerful the dumb power adapter is the lack of the intelligent interface means the laptop (a 1500-320) will default to a degraded processing mode. So to get the full benefit of the laptop you either need to buy a (reasonably priced at the Dell Amazon store) AC to DC power adapter specifically designed for the Dell smart interface, or buy a USB-C PD (Power Delivery) power adapter and then get a USB-C to Dell interface adapter.

the center signal pin in 7.9mmx5.5mm barrel tip is not connected, so it only supports 90w. it should connect to outer pin to support 135w. or connect with 1.5K om to outer pin to support 170w.

Worked as expected

I bought 4, 3 came with a 2.2mm ID not 2.1. This means they do not stay connected! Will be returning them. Sloppy QC. Also, the spring loaded contacts may be too weak, not sure.

Product worked exactly as described. Purchased to replaced faulty adaptors that came with an universal laptop PSU from Canada Computers, you know the one. Made the PSU actually usable.

Converted the adaptor output head to the correct size for my lamp, and also made the wire fit in at a right angle rather than standing out a mile!

I tried to use these when hard-wiring my car's GPS, but unfortunately, they were not the right size! (I should have measured first...) Other than that, these adapters are well constructed, although they are bulky. Compared to the end of the GPS plastic case, the adapter case was much bigger, which (if it had been the right plug size) caused it to stick out from the back of the device. I think these adapters are more for external installations where hiding wires and connectors is not a concern, unlike my application, where the goal is to hide the wires as much as possible. Will be returning these.
