Now Sports, Soy Protein Isolate 20g, Unflavored Powder, 2 lbs

My husband had to go on a very limited low-residue diet while taking radiation treatments for prostate cancer. I was looking for a protein powder to supplement his diet that was low-fiber, high protein, and wouldn't cause gas. This powder has worked out the best of the ones we've tried for his situation. It isn't too grainy. The flavor is very mild. There are no additional flavorings or sugars added. It blends well in his smoothies. I would buy it again.

As the title says, this protein tub really gets it done. The Price to quantity for starters is a great deal for starters. For the price most other proteins would be 6-10 servings less than this one. Now for the taste, it's pretty bland so I recommend drinking it with Vanilla Almond or Soy milk to add some flavor. Personally I use say bc it adds an extra 6-9 grams of protein depending on how much you use. Suddenly a single serving becomes 30g instead of just 20g of protein. Lastly the overall product. It works, I have been using this protein consistently for 2 years now and it delivers. Granted how hard you train and recover plays a factor this aspect saves you money and eass of mind for meeting your daily intake of protein.

My smoothies are good and filling with this soy protein powder added. Lactose free, zero carbs and no taste allows me to enjoy the fruit flavor. I am old and lactose intolerant. This is filling, gives me a boost and no upset stomach. Helps keep the weight off! I look forward to my smoothie

My husband and I love this stuff! We were searching for a nondairy, low-sodium, low-sugar protein powder to supplement our diets and read all kinds of horror stories about terrible tasting protein powder out there. Hence, when we got this, we were very pleasantly surprised by the mild, nonoffensive taste that pairs very well with almond milk, oatmilk, or soymilk. I have occasionally added chocolate monk fruit powder for flavor and look forward to making smoothies with it. This protein powder does not blend 100% perfectly, so I strongly suggest using a thermos, blender, or other container with a lid so you can shake it well. Even then, you will probably have to scrape the bottom to get residual powder to blend in. Aside from the blendability issues, though, we are very happy with this product!

I actually prefer the taste of soy over whey and this isolate is a good protein product. It has a little more mealy texture than whey but it mixes well and any clumps are easily stirred out. I usually mix it in a solo cup with almond milk and 1/2 tsp psyllium for fiber. It is pure non-GMO soy, with no sweeteners or additives such as maltodextrin. Good value also.

The protein powder itself is fine. It mixes well in a smoothie and has an inoffensive flavor. But it is no longer a good value. In the last year, the price has increased by 50%, from $20 to $30 for the 2lb size. Even though I like it, I'm going to have to find an alternative unless NOW Sports is able to get their price down.

I really wanted to like NOW Soy Protein Powder, but unfortunately, it just doesn’t work well for me. The biggest issue is the gritty texture. No matter what liquid I use or how much I mix it, it never seems to fully dissolve. It tends to leave a thick, grainy consistency that makes it unpleasant to drink. The aftertaste is another major drawback. Even when mixed into smoothies or other drinks, there’s a noticeable flavor that lingers and takes away from the overall experience. I will say that the product itself seems fine from a nutritional standpoint, and I appreciate that NOW offers a straightforward soy protein option. However, for me, the texture and taste are significant enough that I wouldn’t purchase it again. The whey protein powders mix much more smoothly and have a much better overall taste. Overall: Disappointing. The gritty texture, poor mixability, and lingering aftertaste make this one hard to recommend.

It has the advantages of any soy or whey powder, adding protein to a meal without boosting the calories too much or changing the flavor much. I most often put it in oatmeal but I've also mixed it with cottage cheese and that's fine (of course it makes the texture more pasty). In a pinch I've even mixed it with water to make a paste to eat on its own, and it's fine, a little like bland instant mashed potatoes. And I like that the company's based in Normal, my son's favorite town. Go Redbirds.

This product is better than the previous brand that I ordered. Firstly it has no artificial sweetening taste that I experienced previously and easy to blend with pure milk using a shake-container.
