Its great and combat ready!
This thing comes pre sharp, VERY sharp. I actually cut my fingers wide open thinking it wasnt sharp. Most bladed weapons you order online are just displays or replicas and are completely dull. This one IS NOT a display, So be careful handling this short blade otherwise it might be a trip to the ER. ps i got lucky.

great tool for the $
The design lends itself to be VERY balanced. Good edge out of the box. Handles are a little narrow for those with bigger hands but is to be expected at this price point and design, and easily resolved by some extra wrap or some other work to the handles. can be one or 2 handed with ease!

Cool, but not the best..
I've bought a real katana before, and this is nothing compared to that.. I got this one as a gift, but it came looking used/scratched or something.. Handle is kinda too "flat" and doesn't feel "real" when it's just paracord around the metal. The sheath itself is also very flimsy and moves a lot. Overall compared to a real katana, this was a very dull sword and honestly my pocket knife is sharper than this thing.. It does have some nice balance overall, but it's the only blade I've had where the handle itself is longer than the actual blade; and honestly I can't tell if I like that or not. Still looks cool overall, if all you do is hang it on a shelf; but I didn't see it worth the little space I have where I only want reliable and real things that I see lasting through the years-- such as a real katana that can cut just by looking at it too long.. (

Disappointed.
Unfortunately I was really disappointed with the quality of this blade. Very pricey for what it was. I'm going to keep it to use as a tool but I really feel like there should be a more substantial handle.

DON’T Judge Until You Hold and Swing
What a cool and professional short sword. Two handed and made for use with much more than just display abilities. I love my expensive swords and I love having real deal tactical weapons to keep my collection more than hanging.
