Description
These 11 rare, original perfume or velvet buttons were created in 1850-1880. Each 1/2" brass button has a bit of velvet behind it. The thinking was that a woman could dab her perfume on the absorbent velvet and it would give her a nice odor. Hygiene was not good "in the day". The bracelet is 14K over sterling, vermeil, and is guaranteed not to wear through to the sterling. It is 7 1/4" long, and has double safety clasps. this is a very special bracelet!
