Make sure you lighten to the level you want before toning
Tones down the yellow, wish it was permanent color as semi permanent only lasts few shampoos.

what you need to know
buy 2 shades above the level you’re going for because the color will run dark. please do not expect the color on the box to be the color of your hair after you use it. everyone is starting out with different hair colors and tones so results can be different for everyone!! I have bought this product multiple times, in different colors, to mix and figure out what works best for me. this doesn’t last forever as it is a DEMI permanent hair color

Doesn’t cover gray.
Terrible. Did absolutely nothing. I went up one shade lighter with this order and it did absolutely nothing to cover the gray, meanwhile, one shade darker covered perfectly fine waste of money.

Never used the creme Wella toner before. I stupidly dyed my hair "cosmic yellow" and I had to mix this with one of the liquid colors for the right color but it was corrected well enough and my hair blonde again. I'm growing it out so don't care that much. Used 10v developer and watched until it was appropriately oxidized.

since i understand what a toner is for, and how to mix it, this worked great. to the people giving this bad reviews because it didn't do what they expected: it's very likely your own fault, and you are lucky that the only consequence was losing $10. maybe next time you'll do 90 seconds of research before messing around with chemicals

Didnt cover Brass
It didnt do anything to cover my brassy hair so im sure the colour is fine, it just didnt do what I needed it to do. I have used this brand before but a permanent die and it worked. I used 20 developer and I should have used 10 originally
