Works eventually
I ran into a project that needed this and decided that these looked better than the other style that is sold here. I can't compare as I don't have the other style, but these are a real pain to use. U cup seals have tapered sides but this tool is straight, so as you compress the seal it wants desperately to twist its way right out of the tool. Takes me about a dozen tries per seal just to get the seal lined up in the bore for an attempt. I was working with a small seal which undoubtedly made things worse. If I had any volume of these things to do I'd scour for anything better than this, but it did the job.

Missing parts
Ordered this product and it is missing the red holders for the picks. The picks are now useless without the holders. Otherwise good quality

3 spart are missing. " O "ring remover tools .It is very bad of inspection of quality controller . If you want I can share the photography. There are 3 niddle was missing.
