non-damaging
i had dyed my hair a while back with a natural hair dye without realizing it had henna in it, which has caused my hair to have a red tint for a very long time. i do NOT enjoy the red tint on my skin tone... that being said, this product was wonderful and finally let me achieve the blue black i've always wanted. also, it didn't leave my hair feeling dead or anything of the sort. it actually felt pretty soft and nice! there's still a little red in the sunlight, but i'm going to continue using this until (hopefully) i grow out all the henna lol

An effective solution for blending and toning, without committing to permanent color.
I've used Wella products for a number of different uses such as toning ombre ends or combatting brassiness. I've always found it to be gentle and effective. The demi-permanent options are especially useful for those of us who don't want to commit to fully dying our hair (and dealing with the required upkeep afterwards.I'm currently dealing with more visible grays, and I'm not interested in the full maintenance of regular permanent dye. I also won't commit to the cost of the salon, so I've been experimenting with ColorCharm Demi-permanent to see if I can blend the grays in, tone them down and *stop plucking them* (a real no-no).Currently I have the 5N, 6N and 7A. I wish the darker colors had an 'ash' formulation, because I don't prefer the warmer tones with my coloring. But I've not noticed the 5N nor 6N are giving any orange or brassy tones. The last formulation I did was to split the 3 colors evenly, but as we move into fall and I don't mind the darker tones, I think I'll use the 5N with the 7A to potentially achieve a bit more grey coverage.I generally shampoo, towel dry, mix the ColorCharm at a 1:2 ratio with the level 10 volumizer, and use a bottle with a 'comb spout' to distribute mostly on the roots and just a few inches down the length to blend. I also wear gloves and distribute with my hand as necessary or comb the color through. (A bowl and brush would work just as well.) I haven't noticed any obvious lines with this method. I leave on about 20 min and rinse then condition. The photos below are after about 3 washes or so, in different light. It definitely fades (so these pics don't show the coverage after initial application), but the even fading is kind of the point, to avoid a harsh grow-out line. You can see visible grays (and the plucked regrowth...tsk tsk), but they are diminished and not as stark. I'm hoping, as I allow more to grow in, the Demi-perm solution can help the grays blend in as they become more prominent and I'll eventually lean toward lighter formulations. The price is right and the formula is gentle.

Gentler than permanent color and grows out much more naturally
I've been using COLORCHARM Demi Permanent Hair Color for about six months, and I much prefer it to permanent hair color. The biggest difference for me is how much gentler it feels. I notice much less hair shedding during and after coloring, and my scalp doesn't burn or itch either during the application or afterward. I used to have both of those problems with permanent color. The color lasts well enough to get me to my next root touch-up. It fades gradually but definitely doesn't wash out completely - after six months of using it, the color is still visible through the lengths of my hair.It doesn't cover gray hair 100%, which is expected with a demi-permanent color, but that is actually one of the reasons I like it. I wasn't looking for perfectly solid coverage. The slightly uneven coverage creates natural-looking highlights and dimension. Most importantly, as my roots grow out, there isn't that harsh, obvious line between the colored hair and new growth that I used to get with permanent dye.For me, that's a very good trade-off: gentler on my hair and scalp, natural-looking color, and much nicer grow-out.

Great coverage
COLORCHARM Demi Permanent Hair Color worked really well and gave my hair a beautiful, even color. It was easy to apply and left my hair feeling soft, smooth, and shiny instead of dry or damaged. The color came out rich and natural-looking and lasted well between washes. I also like that it’s a great option for refreshing color without committing to permanent dye. Very happy with the results and would definitely use it again!

Not every color gets darker some actually turn lighter then the box
Don't do what I did and buy this because everyone's saying the colors come out so dark. I wanted a nice Medium ash brown but not realizing my roots are the newest hair Only bleached once for idk maybe atleast a year so I tried doing a root smudge since apparently the color comes out so much darker 🙄 and yeah they came out lighter then the box shows so now I'm a dirty golden blonde 🤦. If you haven't bleached your roots but maybe once like me and want that ashy brown color then definitely first wash your hair so all the residue is gone and pigment can pull through instead of sitting on top of product. Then your probably going to want to go with a 6N to have the best of both cancelling pigment worlds but you can only use a 10 volume developer with a demi so if you don't want to deal with rinsing out fast then I'd probably reccommend just going with the permanent since you can use 20 volume with that which slightly opens the hair cuticle instead of just coating it like a demi does. It's just less stress imo. I went with a 6N in permanent and now I have the perfectly balanced roots but now I just need to tone my ends more so take my advice if you don't want Honey blonde roots because even at a 7A it didn't pull out any golden but that's because it won't since it only deposits and doesn't lift or pull anything out . Color charm is pretty good but if you don't know much about color then I hope this helps. This is my hair or roots after using the 7a which I guess looks good here but everything does after makeup and in just a couple days it's now light golden blonde not what I hoped for to me that's just a waste of time and money 🫠

Blended my grays nicely! Gave them a beautiful Golden color.
Blended my grays really well. Gave them a golden caramel color. I have dark roots and a lot of grays in the middle of my scalp/head. It did a nice job of covering them. I did leave it on for 40 minutes just to make sure it worked well. Definitely buying again. The close up picture is the before with a white patch that needed to go.

Rich color
My first at-home experience with a ‘demi’. Doubt I will ever go back to permanent dye again. I started with the medium brown, and at first, it is much too dark for what I prefer. The color did lighten a bit after several washes and I have gotten compliments on how I look. I am trying half 5N and half 6N next time.

It works
I'm pleasantly surprised with the results. I guess I was not expecting for any color to stick without having to bleach my hair. Looks really red in the sun and burgundy in normal lighting. Looking forward to see how this fades out. Pictures are of before, after (regular lighting), and last outside in the sun

Fun and easy way to tone hair
Fun and cheap way to tone hair temporarily. Wanted to try some red undertone in my hair which this really does. I mixed it with some 8n and it gave me a pretty reddish brown. Faded quickly which was good as I didn’t want to commit to it long term
