I purchased the keypad door lock to replace one that was broken. Certainly, I was a bit concerned that this one would fit in the same location without me having to drill new holes or modify the door in any way. Having performed a lot of woodwork, this would not have been a problem for me, but I just would rather not need to do that. I know that most of the measurements are “standard” and this made me a bit more comfortable. When I received the lock and handle system, I carefully read through the instructions just to be sure I didn’t miss something. The only thing I had to do was increase the depth of the hole in the door jamb for the deadbolt. Not a big issue and about a 2-minute job with a 1-inch paddle drill. I certainly appreciated that the lower bolt on the door handle is adjustable (this was not mentioned in the write-up, but is often standard on better quality lock sets). This eliminated my having to drill a new lower handle hole. Other than the door jamb, I did not have to drill anything else. The strike plate had square corners and the one I replaced had round corners. No big deal, as a couple minutes with a Dremel tool took care of that. I found this lock set to be of very high quality and simple to install. The instructions on the deadbolt installation were very clear and easy to follow. The key on installation was to look at the pictures carefully so as to route the wires through the door correctly. A neat feature is the manner in which the deadbolt automatically determines if the door is right-handed or left-handed. That was a nice surprise and worked like a charm. If you are careful and follow the directions, you will have no issues with this. As an engineer, I thought this was a nice design feature with the electronics and made the installation fool proof. The only things I felt should have been included in the package and were not were the long screws for the secondary strike plate (the heavy one behind the visible one in the door frame for the deadbolt). I did not have an issue however, as I just used the ones from the old installation. If this was a new installation, I would have had to run to the hardware store to get these two long screws. Not really a big deal and easily done, but I was just surprised. The whole job went together effortlessly and is a nice-looking installation. High quality, nice looking, and easily to install. The programming of fingerprints, codes, etc. was easy and accomplished in a few short minutes. I certainly would not hesitate to purchase this lock set. As you can see in the photo, all I have to do is wait until spring when it warms up a bit and repaint the door!

I purchased this for a door that was on its way, so by the time I actually opened the box it was a few months past the "return" deadline for Amazon. When I opened it I noticed a color issue with one part of the set, it was off-color. I contacted the company and they remedied the issue with ease. They were kind, understanding, and willing to correct the issue. Other than the small color issue, installation was easy to do, the lock feels sturdy and strong, the design is user-friendly, the keypad is easy to use and works very well. Overall, it is a great purchase for what seemed to be a very good price. The only thing I would offer to people is that, since this is an automated lock, that means there is a motor inside, make sure when you install this that your deadbolt slides into it's lock with ease. If you don't over years of use you'll burn that motor up. This applies to all small motors, I'm only mentioning it because I'm sure some people won't think about this. We are so used to using our hands and a little resistance is not a big deal to use, but to small motors, if we want them to live as long as they can, gotta take care of them! The deadbolt keyboard allows fingerprint, supports multiple personalized codes, and I haven't had an issue with it. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking.

I really liked this product and it was easy to install. However, less than a year later I found myself locked out of my house and unable to open my door because the internals of the handle part of this set came undone. Attached to this review is a video depicting what was going on inside my door. The "spinning bar" somehow came loose! If I tighten down the screws extremely tight the door will work again. However, I've lost all faith in the handle and feel as though I can't trust it any longer. I've already replaced it. I do want to compliment the pin pad portion of this set. I'm keeping that part installed because it's still functioning fine and dependable. My only complaint with that piece is that it didn't seem to give us any sort of warning that the batteries were getting low. Randomly one day we just started up hear this low volume high pitched squeal coming from the lock and took that as a sign the batteries needed to be replaced. Other than that I like the lock portion and will continue to use it. Update on Feb 3, 2024: I need to take a moment to praise the maker of this door handle set. Even though I had bought this handle set almost a full year before leaving my review, within 24 hours of writing my review the company reached out to me apologizing for my experience and offering a refund or replacement. You never see companies doing that. So, kudos to this company for having such great customer service and integrity. I raised my star rating from 3 to 4 stars after this interaction. This experience makes me comfortable buying from them again.

I replaced my 13 yr old SCHLAGE lockset with this system. THE VEISE system fit all pre-existing holes in our door, except the bottom 3/8" hole supporting the handle. Not a problem! I drilled a new hole and plugged the old one. Installation took me 2 hours without any mistakes due to its detailed, clear instructions. The VEISE system works smoothly as silk, noiselessly. I wasily uploaded my personal security code. And the brushed bronze looks are terrific, classy.

Great looking item and easy installation. Easy to program as well. I did have to make a warranty call. Aaron, was exceptionally helpful and easy to work with. Aaron’s help resolving my concern was top notch. The level of customer support I received is greatly appreciated!

Very easy to install. Even had step by step video link to make programming easy. Compared to box store prices this was only 1/3 the price and does so much more. Highly recommend this lock system

FIRST...I LOVE THE DIGITAL DEAD BOLT! I forget how many entry codes (that you program yourself) it will hold, but I believe it's at least six. My 3 stars review is more about the handle. Lately, I've been having issues with the backstop not working properly. The other day, I was "locked out" by the backstop not depressing far enough into the handle to release it from the door frame. I've checked to see if there are any screws loose. NONE. I will be taking it apart today to find out if I can fix it. (HOPING!!!). If I can't, then, you know the rest. I don't see what adjustment could be made, as it's the inside of the handle that doesn't like to completely click into place at the point of complete release of the engaged backstop. I do know I've had it for a few years, but I don't believe a door handle should be skipping out while on duty. I've never had this issue with any engaging door handle ever before. That would be a lot of years, (and the rest is NUNYA biz don't be asking my age! 😂). UPDATE: I FINALLY had time to take the door handle apart, and I solved the problem with white lithium lubricant. Please note, DO NOT SPRAY YOUR LOCKS OR ANY MOVING METAL PART WITH W-D40 AND NOT FOLLOW UP WITH A VERY FINE METAL LUBRICANT! EVER!!! Yes, it will break loose whatever it is freezing up...such as rust or other corrosion; BUT, if you don't lubricate the problem child, it will freeze up again. #1, I didn't have a frozen lock. I just had a problem with it fully engaging. AND, white lithium grease...comes in a spray can...did the trick. I took the door handle completely off and with the little red straw that fine point directs the grease, I lubricated the inside of the inside working parts, working them as I sprayed the troubled areas. VOILA! WORKS LIKE A CHARM. The more I used the handle over a few days, the more the white lithium melted into the working mechanism. No more issues!

I needed to make some minor adjustments fit the door lock set in the door and door jam. Not a big deal. I did need to call customer service and to my surprise they actually answered the phone and the individual I spoke with understood the product and the question I was asking. I have the lock to initiate closure after 10 seconds. That is very convenient however at times I keep the door open to let the sun in, however the lock automatically locks so I need to be aware that I must unlock the dead bolt before shutting the door . It would be better if the lock would not engage unless the door is completely closed in the door jam. This is a good product Update. I decided to change the automatic door lock not to engage. It's easy enough to lock the door when i go out. This way I won't damage the bolt by forgetting to unlock it before closing the door.
