I have been researching black dinner plates for a while, my first at utmost criteria was they had to be scratch resistant. This set does claim that. However my disappointment is that our silverware leaves scratch marks that can be removed with a special leaning regime,now this has turned them into high maintenance.

These are simply beautiful plates that look hand thrown except they might be a tiny bit too perfect to be hand thrown by an artisan. But I think only you would know. The finish is gorgeous! Beautiful matte aqua / turquoise color soft and calming and lovely. I have very small hands so the dinner plates feel a bit heavy to me just because I have such small hands. But they’re high quality so it’s to be expected and I’ve run them through the dishwasher without any issues. I bought the same salad plates as well. And I adore them too. No they are not fine thin bone china. But I’m certain if you’re looking at these then it’s the more artisan rustic every day look these have you’d enjoy. I have thin bone china for formal dining but for every day these are perfect and instagram worthy of your most beautiful meals.

I bought these because I was looking for smaller plates to add to our dish set. These are so cute I plane to store them on outlet open shelves!
