I used for my Arduino Project
I successfully used these on my Arduino project and learned a few things along the way. First, the male end of the plug is a TRRS audio connector. It will not work with TRS connectors & extension cables.Second, here is the jack config: T->positive. R1->unused. R2->data. S->gnd. I powered with 3.3V on my project but the DS18B20 should accept 5V as well.Third, as with any DS18B20, you'll need a 4.7kohm resistor between the positive & data lines. It won't work without that.Fourth, upon discovery, the device address will look something like this: "0x28, 0x29, 0x6B, 0xFA, 0x0D, 0x00, 0x00, 0x25" Those two zero bytes are normal for these gizmos.Fifth, you can use a TRRS splitter to combine multiple of these devices - works great.Sixth, if you want to connect to a breadboard, I recommend a "TRRS terminal adapter" combined with "Breadboard Terminal 2/3/4"Seventh, Send me a thumbs up if you appreciate this review. I had to learn that hard way how to get these babies to work and hope this review made it simpler for you. Make it a great day!
