What are exact external and internal dimensions of this case?

The external dimensions are 3.74"L * 2.76"W *1.1" H and the internal dimensions are 3.43"L*2.48"W*0.9"H.

Does the GPS work perfectly if used in the case?

It should work just fine! Mine works through the fuselage of an aircraft. Lots of metal. So that ballistic nylon case should not even affect it.
