Failed Fast
I purchased this when my genie garage door stopped working suddenly. It was the capacitor that was available the fastest, so I purchased it despite the reviews. It worked, but lasted less than 3 months. When I installed, I noticed it was a smaller diameter and did not fit the bracket. When it failed, it was hot to the touch, and when I removed it, the casing had begun to fail and was leaking. Of course, it was well past the refund window, despite being a poor product. Luckily it didn’t explode. I bought the OEM version and it’s obviously larger and more sturdy.

I suggest only as tempopary replacement for garage door opener.
This capacitor heats up to 120F after two open/close cycles in a row. Which I tried. Yes it is smaller(4 inch length) than original(6 inches). Means weaker.If you run your garage door 5-6 times in a row with this capacitor it will most likely give a smoke, and it may leak the content on the circuit board. But if you will give some 10 minutes to rest after couple runs before next 2 runs, it might work for you, that means on well tuned spring.
