Exactly what I wanted!! I owned a Seiko sport automatic back in 1985 (Basic Model). Really nice. I had owned it for about 7 years. I was coming back to the US from Berlin, GE. I took a military hop into Charleston AFB. I had to stay over night in the Q. That night I got a roommate and he got up earlier than I did the next morning and stole my watch. Yes, I was pissed off big time. Anyhow, I have wanted another Seiko Sport Automatic ever since. I was a bit hesitant buying an expensive watch from Amazon, but when I got the watch after a fairly long wait the watch was very worth every penny. The watch works flawlessly, and looks good as well, not to mention I got it on sale for $396.00. It retails for $495.00. Good investment for me!

I’ve been a Swiss watch snob for a long time, although I could never afford the really nice brands. After owning this watch, I not only bought two other colors of the same watch, but I was so wrong about the price VS quality of this watch. It is such a nice watch, very well finished and much more handsome in reality than pictures. It’s got Seiko auto movement. I actually like these watches better than my $2000 Raymond Weil!

While I enjoy the skx and the 5Kx, this watch is truly the best looking of the bunch especially in terms of features, dial proportions, finishes, etc. All of the reviewers who said: Just get it, you won't be disappointed - were absolutely right about that.

Where do I start? I guess I'll start with seeing that this was on sale. I've always wanted a GMT Automatic and since most offerings are out of my price range, I decided to treat myself. I was not disappointed at all. It really is beautiful, everything from the watch to the bracelet is going to get looks. Speaking of, I actually like the GMT ring: it's very easy to grab hold of and turn and looks great. There are also additional 24 hour markings on the dial for the 3rd time zone functionality. Additionally, even though the watch face is 42mm, the watch wears like a smaller one due to its lug to lug size of 46mm. I was kind of worried because I was used to a 38mm but that worry evaporated as soon as I sized the bracelet for my wrist. The Jubilee style bracelet is very comfortable and the watch is not too heavy either. Definitely a watch I could see myself wearing all day. Downsides? For me, it's that the crystal is a Hardlex mineral glass instead of Sapphire. I don't know about it's long term durability so hopefully it will be okay. Also, even though it has an exhibition case back, the movement just isn't stylish enough in my opinion. But that feels like nitpicking due to the price point. It's a beautiful blue Seiko GMT Automatic and it looks like a $1000 watch. If you're on the fence, get it. Edit: If you're like me and worried about the Hardlex crystal, there are aftermarket Sapphire crystals that you can buy. I got one from CrystalTimes for about $40 as a spare in case the crystal gets too dinged up.

I love this watch! I am not a fan of automatic watches, especially when I have to adjust it every week. And if I do not wear it over the weekend, it will stop. Maybe one day I will take off the back and make an adjustment but until then, it is a weekly adjustment. I like to forget my watches, hence I am really a fan of solar watches. I have one - Citizen - that has been going for 14 years without missing a beat. I have a Seiko solar for over 3 years, same with that - just keep on ticking. So, I must say, I will not buy another automatic but the design of this watch is so nice, I could not resist. It is even better looking in person. The bezel of blue/black is just awesome in the light. Everything about this watch is classy. Nice weight, not too tall, nice bracelet. Finally, the crown is not digging into my hand. And you get a second time zone which is nice. The watch is great with water, shower, wash hands .... does not matter, no problem. Very legible , nice hands and markers. The markers glow for a while after hitting the Sun. Looks smaller than my same size diver. This is a great watch. They could have put on a sapphire glass but even so, this is pretty nice. If it was not for the continuous adjustment, this would be the best watch! Seiko should have better quality control to get closer to a more on time watch even if it is an automatic. So even with the adjustment issues, this is a great watch! Elegant and sporty at the same time! Saiko make this with solar power, I buy it again! UPDATE - This watch is unusable. It gains so much time that it has to be adjusted every day. It looks great but it does not really work, I might have gotten one that was magnetized, I am not sure but the watch is unusable. I struggled all this time, but I am not willing to do it any more. I do not recommend this product.

It's a pretty decent watch and is very suitable for those with smaller wrists as it's a little smaller than what I imagined. I wish it had a ceramic bezel. The one it comes with looks a little cheesy. Reminds me of the fake Rolex's I used to buy in Beijing for $50 bucks. Maybe get a Vaer GMT instead except their comparable model would come with a quartz movement instead.
