Love this lock! easy to use but super fun lol or choices! Form and function!!

I bought this lock for my 6-yr-old son to use when he rides his bike to school. It was easy to set a new lock combination (that we will not forget!) and after showing it to my son he opened it on his own the first try. The numbers aren't extremely easy to spin around, but they work. The colors are great for kids.

GREAT QUALITY AND WORKS GREAT

I got two of these for my 10-year-old twin daughters, in purple and pink. They look great, but my daughters still have difficulty locking up their bikes with these locks, so I've been riding with them to school to help them out. 1) The dials are difficult for little fingers to turn, as they require strong pressure and the surface is smooth and difficult to grip. (They can do this now, but the design could be improved.) 2) The coiled cable is difficult for small muscles to stretch it out and feed it through the bike spokes and frame, and around the bike rack. (This is most difficult for them, especially when parking between other bicycles.) 3) Little fingers can get pinched in the small space between the locking mechanism and the cable. (They've learned to keep their fingers away from those spots.) The good thing, is that their muscles should be getting stronger from using these.

This lock was perfect for my seven year old daughter. Easy enough for her to use on her own and she loved creating her unique code.

The IDEALUX 4‑foot resettable bike lock cable is sturdy enough for casual use, but it’s not easy for kids to open and lock. The combination dial feels stiff, and lining up the numbers precisely takes effort—our child struggles to set and release it without adult help. Length is good for securing a bike to a rack, and the cable is lightweight, but the usability isn’t very kid‑friendly. If you need a simple lock for a younger rider, consider one with smoother dials or a keyed option.

My daughter just started riding her bike to school. This bike lock is a great value for the money. It seems durable for the price and is light weight so she doesn't have trouble using it. The length works good for her kids bike but I do think it would be strong enough to also use on an adult bike.
