HiBoost Sidekick Cell Booster – November 17, 2025. Cell providers in our neighborhood have no nearby towers—the closest one is about 4 miles away—so our signal strength has always been extremely poor. Our RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power, measured in dBm) consistently hovered between –110 and –118, far below the acceptable –90 range, and we frequently dropped calls. It was incredibly frustrating, and our provider had no solutions. Out of desperation, we researched boosters and chose the HiBoost Sidekick, which works with both Apple and Android phones. We use Apple. The installation kit includes an outdoor antenna, two NM-SMAM transmission cables (32 ft and 16 ft), the indoor signal booster with 120-volt power supply, an indoor whip antenna, mounting hardware, and a manual. Everything arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. After confirming all the parts, we read through the setup instructions. The manual includes a helpful diagram showing where each component goes—the outdoor antenna, the transmission cables, the indoor booster, and the power supply. That part was straightforward, but some of the actual setup steps were less clear. Depending on whether you use Apple or Android, there are different methods for checking signal strength. For Apple, you dial *3001#12345#* to access the field test mode. We verified we had a weak signal, but at least some signal. The next step was to download an app called CellMapper. That’s where things went sideways—the app couldn’t determine my location and showed no nearby towers. So I downloaded another app from the App Store called Cell Towers, and that one worked perfectly. It zoomed into my location and let me scale the map to see exactly where the towers were. Once I had that information, I knew which direction to point the unidirectional antenna. I did a temporary test setup and immediately saw an improvement, which convinced me it was worth doing the full installation. The outdoor antenna comes with U-bolt mounting hardware for a pole up to about 2.25 inches in diameter. Fortunately, I had a roof vent pipe in the perfect spot. (If you don’t have a pole already, Amazon sells mounting poles compatible with this booster.) I used the 32-foot cable, ran it underneath the eave, drilled a hole through an exterior wall, and routed it into the house to the booster unit. Once everything was connected and powered, my RSRP improved from an average of –113 to –90, giving me four full bars. I’ve only had it installed for a day, but so far I’m extremely pleased with the results. One more note: my installation location is on an outer wall, not far from the center of the house. If I’m more than about 40 feet away from the booster in another room, my coverage drops back to almost nothing. If I had mounted it in a more central location, I’d probably get better whole-house coverage. In the end, it was an aesthetics-versus-functionality trade-off. Still, when I take calls in our centrally located living room, I have no issues at all. Bottom line: So far, the HiBoost Sidekick has dramatically improved our signal and eliminated dropped calls. I’m very happy with the performance.

We had between 0 (the SOS icon on iPhone) and one bar at our small retirement home here in central Florida. To get decent signal, even for text messaging, we had to go to the middle of our street, where it would sometimes work. We had talked with neighbors and one of them had purchased something through AT&T but said they were very disappointed. After reading through several reviews we decided to purchase the Sidekick. This was our experience: 1. Everything was packed very professionally, all the components were described well in the instructions, and nothing was missing. 2. We followed step by step through the process of getting things installed correctly, the most important being the outside antenna and ensuring that we had things 'pointed' in the right direction. 3. The inside and outside cables were plenty long enough to effectively place the outside antenna in the best location and to install the booster in a central location in the house. 4. One thing we really liked was the separate 12" micro cable that allowed us to put cabling through the window and still be able to shut the window. Since this cable is designed for a closed window there isn't any kinking or other issues. Nice attention to detail by the manufacturer. 5. We followed all the instructions to optimize placement and less than 10 minutes after we started I was in my home office enjoying a full four bars. 6. That evening Liam, one of the technicians at HiBoost, reached out to me to make sure everything was working well. I relayed to him that we were very pleased and my wife and I were finally enjoying simultaneous video streaming with no interruptions. He asked for a few screenshots of the final numbers and agreed that we were set up very well. 7. What made this very timely for us was that our internet went out for the past 3 days, and my wife and I are both tethering to our phone hotspots from our computers and enjoying a fast 5Ge connection. 8. We're very pleased with our device, no more missed or dropped calls and a nice backup for us when our internet goes out here in our community. 9. For us the value is great, signal strength is always 3-4 bars, and no issue. Highly recommend this product and this company!

Great booster! Most older buildings now for many places have poor signals inside when it comes to phone service. Most have metal roof and insulation in that roof for shops and other types of similar buildings. My shop would only have service if the garage doors were up but when it's cold outside during Most of the winter, my doors would be closed to keep the heat in..Problem with that. No service at all..no bars... So I look and found this product to give it a try. First I hooked everything up to see what it would say from the ground, nothing..I was like ok maybe not a good thing..theb I got on a ladder to see if that would help go a signal but not much. So I said well I can just go ahead and mount it on top of my building because I saw where someone said that would be best so thats what I did. I went from in my shop to no bars to having better service in my shop with all my garage doors up. Internet speed and phone service! Great product. No subscription needed. Just a great product if one wants to utilize there own phone instead of using wifi or paying for wifi when Most phones come with portable wifi on it but most signals are not great but with this product great wifi output for streaming and internet usage! You may have better service than some local providers.

Great customer service! So helpful and patient with instructions. Made themselves available for explanation and would review data from the dashboard to fine tune the signal. The product was terrific at helping my home get a stronger cell signal. We are in rural CT, improvement almost instantly. Great team and great product.

This product was a total lifesaver. I moved into my new place and immediately realized I got no cell signal inside. I work out of the house so that was going to hw a disaster. Bought the Hi-Boost and couldn't be happier. It is like having a miniature cell tower inside your home. The cell signal is excellent throughout the house. It was really easy to install and they have amazing customer support. They periodically check in with you to see how the product is performing. That is really unique. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who is struggling getting a cell signal in their home.

Impressive! Exceeded expectations. Like most people, I researched different ones and looked at reviews, with many people saying these things don't work at all. Well, I can say that this one works. As soon as I plugged it in, my phone went from 0 to 1 bars to four to five bars, from no phone service to high-speed streaming. I am in and off grid Cabin in the Woods and this is my only source of connectivity or Internet, and it is all I need. Good value, easy setup, greatly improved connectivity.

Sorry for the length of the review, but I had very high hopes for this booster. Upon opening the box the quality of the booster itself feels great, the case is all metal and it is heavy. The outdoor antenna feels flimsy and weak, but it is all plastic so that is to be expected. Installation- The outdoor antenna comes with a bracket to mount it to a pole or whatever surface you want. The booster inside connected to me Note 10+ easily over Bluetooth and it was fairly simple to setup. Running the wires up to the roof was not bad, but I am used to working on the roof. That is about where any positives stop. App- Once everything was hooked up I used the SignalSupervisor(HiBoost's app) to check the signal and change the direction of the outdoor antenna to get the best signal possible. Their app showed that no matter which direction the antenna was pointed(to include directly down at the roof and towards trees where there are no towers for 50+ miles) I had a perfect signal, 5 bars. But that is not true. In fact when pointed in most directions I had 0 bars. I turned the antenna in every direction and waited for approximately 3-5 minutes before moving to the next direction to make sure it had time to catch the signal. I used multiple other apps to obtain the direction of the nearest towers and pointed the antenna that direction and gave up on the roof for the day. Indoor Booster- The indoor booster has a LCD display of the current frequency and the indoor and outdoor signal strength. It scrolls through the 4 frequencies showing you the strength of each. Mine showed full bars indoor and 2 bars for outdoor on all frequencies. But did not boost any signal to our phones or our 4G home internet gateway. In fact, the display on the booster is exactly like the app, no matter where the outdoor antenna was pointed it showed the same thing, full inside and 2 outside. "Tech Support"- I contacted HiBoost's tech support to help with my issues. At first try of using the chat feature in the app it took 14+ hours to get a response which was to quote the installation manual. Over the next 2 days I had to wait between 30 minutes and several hours to get a response from them. Every time I would ask a question they would respond with " send us a screen shot of the current signal in the app". Which I told them many times what it was showing and that it was not working properly. I changed to emailing them since they decided to send me an email asking if everything was working. I responded and got a few emails back, but it was the same thing. Quotes from the installation manual and requests for more screen shots. At one point they asked me to download a different app to show them the band of the tower I was connecting to. I did so and the only response I received was "It supports". Nothing beyond that. While dealing with all this I received multiple emails asking for me to review their product on Amazon and their website, offering $20+ for a "good" review. So everyone knows, I installed the outdoor antenna in places from ground level, to the lowest side of my roof, to approximately 8 feet above my roof. I tried inside and outside. I moved the booster all over the house, even having to make a few small holes in the walls or ceiling to run the cable so I could try it anywhere I thought might make a difference as per their manual. I gave this booster many attempts and spent close to 15 hours messing around with it. My biggest piece of advise is....RUN AWAY, RUN FAR AWAY from this company and their products.
