Cleaver
So I bought this knife after seeing videos of different people using it, and it seemed like a very versatile kitchen tool. The Appearance of it being a chopper, slicer, and the width of the blade to use it as a scooper for chopped products had me excited. This is a heavy knife, I mean it is listed as a cleaver. While heavy I find it to be well balanced and the weight does most of the work for you while chopping and slicing. The handle is comfortable in my hand and I have large hands, so it might be a bit much for someone with petite hands. It's very sharp right out of the box.my girlfriend sliced her finger, with just a slight tap of the blade against her finger. It chops and slices most items with ease, I literally was slicing through the cartilage of a rotisserie chicken and didn't even realize it. I got this during prime day, so I can only speak on the price I paid, 25.00 was an insane price for the blade I received. The leather sheath is thick leather and has a belt loop and a snap retention strap if you want to wear this on your belt. sturdiness of the product.... Well I'm going to say excellent as of right now, I've owned it less than a week, and I hate to say it's going to hold up to everything this soon. I've have chopped, diced, sliced and scooped with the knife and nothing has come loose yet. I'm a hand washer so I can't speak on the handle holding up to dishwashers and the heat cycles.

Months after purchase, I still love it.
Iโve watched this knife for a while now. I saw a couple negative reviews about the handle problem and I guess they got a bad one (sorry.) but Iโm delighted. This thing is heavy. Full tang and Iโm talking thick metal. I might post some vids after but just know it cuts paper into shreds right out of the box. Shaved a few of my fingers too (yea, Iโm Neanderthal lol). So far so good. I havenโt used it yet. Iโll update after I do. Oh - and the sheath is also very nice. Iโm doing to douse it with Neatsfoot oil to soften it up. I always use Fiebings as an old go to for my leather goods. I canโt remember the last time I was so happy when I opened something. This is the real thing and you canโt beat the price. I know what didnii no expect for the price. But, I had my hopes up. No where in the ad did I see China mentioned. And as I take it outside to treat the sheath, on the end of the box is see: Made in China under license from Mueller Austria. Sad. Just very sad that everything seems to be the same. Iโm an avid knife collector and I enjoy knives from all over the world. China is not on the list of high quality knives unless youโre talking a Takeshi Saji and Iโm not dropping that kind of cash on a kitchen knife unless I win megabucks. lol So, we shall see. I have one other Chinese knife. But, I was aware of its origin before I bought it. It needs sharpening each time I use it. I hope this one can hold an edge. I treat this like my cast iron. Steamy hot water. No soap. Rinses off easily and then I coat with a light layer of avocado oil and hang it in the knife rack - not in a wood knife block. Allow it to air. No rust and still sharp as can be.

Not bad at all
I was tired of fighting with my old dull knives every time I tried to cut meat. It felt like sawing through a tree branch just to slice a piece of chicken. I figured it was time to get something heavier that could actually handle the job without me breaking a sweat. I wanted a knife that would not just look tough but actually work tough too. This one came in looking like it belonged in some medieval movie. It is thick, heavy, and has that old school vibe that makes you feel like you know what you are doing even if you do not. The handle feels pretty solid and does not slip around which is good because my hands are not exactly delicate. The leather cover is a nice touch but honestly I almost never use it because I forget. Cutting with it is way easier than my regular knives. Meat, bones, veggies, all that stuff goes down quick. The weight of the blade does half the work for you which is cool. Only thing is it is not the best for small or delicate cuts since it feels more like swinging a mini axe than a kitchen knife. Still, it gets the job done fast when you want to feel like the boss of the cutting board. One thing though, you have to dry it right away or you will see some little spots start to show. It is not stainless so it wants a bit of care which is kinda annoying. Also it is heavy so if you just want to slice a tomato you might grab something else. But if you want a solid knife that feels old school and makes cutting meat less of a headache, this one is not bad at all.

Very nice!
Sharp and easy to handle! Works well for chopping veggies, meat and fruit. Helps cut down on meal prep time. The blade is thin enough to make precise cuts but durable enough to last. I like that it comes with a nice storage case. Looks sharp too :)

Fantastic
Came super sharp out of the box but I put a razor edge on it in a matter of minutes with my simple Worksharp field sharpener. Diced up cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and bell peppers with ease for supper tonight. Feels well made, has heft to it, edge bevel is excellent, thick spine. Test will be to see how well it holds an edge. Came shipped in the sheath with oil on the blade to prevent rusting and plastic wrap to prevent oil from getting on the sheath. Really happy with this purchase. May buy another for camping, hunting and fishing.

A BBQ Meat Clever with Attitude
This design is called a "Serbian Butcher Knife," but I didn't buy it for history. I got it for BBQ because summer is coming, and it's time to fire up the Weber, and I decided it's time for a new implement of destruction. The weight of this clever gives you some attitude and is perfect for disassembling racks of ribs, whole turkeys, and such. The full tang and brass riveting are first-rate, the grip is good for large hands, and the steel is good. What I like about this design is how the line of force is centered, so the most powerful cutting edge is the back half of the blade. The leather sheath is simple but well-made.
