Great wooden wicks for candle making
Good quality wooden wicks that work really well for homemade candles. They’re easy to set up with the metal bases and give a nice steady burn. I like the subtle crackling sound you get when they’re lit as well. Great little kit if you’re making your own candles and good value for the number included.

Disappointed
I was so disappointed with my order. The kit itself seemed really good but one of the essential oils leaked and stained and spoiled most of the kit. I returned and re ordered but exactly the same happened. It was bought for a gift but it wasn't fit to give to anyone so I returned that one as well.

Flexible
I use a candle tin and load it up with broken up bits of old candles, mostly beeswax, then let it melt in a very low oven. Then, once melted, I push in two wood wicks mounted in the metal spring base, and let it set. I've found using two wicks works ok in this situation. There's a good size flame initially, enough heat to melt all the wax, so there's little tunnelling. Once it's burnt down I repeat the process. I like the gentle quiet crackle sound. Sometimes though the flame is smaller on subsequent lightings. I'll try three wicks next.

Complete Waste of Money
These wood wicks are absolutely terrible. Tried making several candles with them and each one was a disaster. The wicks barely stayed lit, and when they did manage to burn, the flame was pathetically small - barely enough to create any sort of melt pool. After about 20 minutes, they'd just fizzle out completely. Save yourself the frustration and money. I wasted perfectly good wax and fragrance oil on these useless wicks. Had to throw away multiple finished candles because they simply wouldn't burn properly. The only thing these wicks are good at is disappointing you. The few that actually stayed lit produced almost no crackling sound - you know, that cozy fireplace effect that's supposed to be the whole point of wood wicks. Tried different heights, different wax types, even pre-soaking them - nothing worked. All 25 pieces were consistently bad. Don't make the same mistake I did. These are clearly cheap, poorly made wicks that shouldn't even be on the market. Complete and utter disappointment.

Good product
As described. Wooden wicks work well giving homemade candles a little professional touch. Came with wick holder

Follow the instructions
Needed wicks just for leftover candle wax from other candles I had previously used, I won’t lie I didn’t read the instructions so I only used one wick but needed to cut it on half because my glass container was too small and so I just thought why waste the wick and so put it in next too the other one (so basically following the instructions without realising), the top half was a bit taller then then second which that I cut and so when I lit the wick, it burned very quickly and was thinking I wasted my money but now that the second wick has caught light it’s burning very well, I’m hearing lots of crackles and love it

Perfect for my Beeswax.
I pre-soaked one in olive oil for 15 minutes. Then I put it in a small jar and poured in melted Beeswax. I eyeballed the amount and added some drops of essential oils. I was going for a skyrim theme so I used juniper berry, pine needle, black pepper and cypress which gave a nice smell. I let it cool enough for the wick to stay in place on its own which didn't take long. I cut the wick down to an appropriate size for the candle, and let it cool completely. The size of the wicks are big so for this small candle I could probably make 3 with just one wick! Lighting the candle: I lit the wick with a lighter and it burned briefly then went out. I re-lit holding the flame on the wick for a bit longer and it it started right up and stayed lit. It crackles subtley, not as much as my Woodwick candles by Yankee candle but they're using soy wax and they're also using different looking wicks with like a hex pattern so that probably has an effect, but this Definitely does the job for me. It burns really clean which is nice and a big improvement on some more traditional wicks I've used in the past that leave big plooms of smoke when blown out, this doesn't do that. Just a small puff of smoke and it's out and the room doesn't smell of smoke afterwards. Again, I used an unrefined raw natural beeswax rather than soy, paraffin or refined beeswax so I can't say for how that might turn out. But with this individual candle, I'm really happy with it. TLDR: ITS GOOD.
