Takes getting used to
I got this for my mum that I believe has ADHD and struggles to read at the correct position sometimes also often skips words. This hasn't been a massive problem in her life but I thought this would help with things like following knitting instructions (as oddly specific as that is). There was some confusion initially but I think it was well received. The rings in the box come on two sizes and are cut at the back so they can easily flex for different finger sizes. You get 4 different coloured lenses (clear, blue, pink and yellow).Overall seems like a great product but still early days. Any learning tool is only beneficial if it's used consistently but so far, I'm hopeful because the concept makes sense and the quality felt good.

Excellent invention
I've never seen a tool like this before, I've often used rulers or bits of paper to help me focus on the words due to dyslexia but this is amazing and so compact too.Advertised as for children but adults can use this too, once you start using this you will be amazed as how enjoyable reading can become.Would highly recomend this for all scenarios whether you teaching your child to read or a adult with reading issues this will help instantly.Amazing value for money.

Good for focus when reading
Really good little tools to help children focus on one word at a time for reading. They just slip it onto their finger and then when they're following the words in a book one word is highlighted at a time, helping focus rather than being overwhelmed by all the words together.Very light and easy to use and could be easily kept in a school bag or even a pencil case to be honest.

A Bit Flimsy But Expensive
The media could not be loaded. These finger highlighters work but they are a bit flimsy. They come in a handy storage box with mouldings for each of the shaped pieces to stop them rattling around. I am using them to teach someone to read post Stroke. Stroke victims find it hard to focus their eyes on a single word and their eyes wander around the page making it very difficult to read. We have progressed from me using a pointer on large words to normal text on pages and these certainly help focus attention in the right place. I do think the coloured film makes it more difficult to see the words at it creates a filter. Children might like it though, but for my purposes, the impaired vision of a Stroke victim doesn't need extra obstacles to see through. I think perhaps they would be better if the outside edges were coloured but they had clear centres to see the page properly. They can apparently be used on screens, but I think there is a risk they would scratch the surface and wouldn't consider it myself. I also think they are a bit expensive.

Nice tool for dyslexia
This tool comes recommend by primary school teachers. We suspect that my son is dyslexic. We got a recommendation for using a highlighter like this. It's clipped into the adjustable ring and the child can lead it over the words that will be highlighted bit by bit and word by word. The child can concentrate better on only a few inputs not the whole sentence. It's simple but efficient and I can highly recommend it 👍 👌 ☺️ 😊 😄

Great tool
Easy to use, comes it its own little pack making it very travel friendly. Really helps to keep children focused on the word they are reading and not the words around

Colour filters to aid reading
For most children learning to read follows a normal progression and they will have no need of colour filters. But research has shown that some children can benefit from the use of coloured filters when they are looking at print on a page or on screen. For children on the autistic spectrum the filters may help cut down glare and "interference"; those with dyslexia might find a particular colour helps them see the print more clearly; and for children with ADHD they can help with concentration on one word at a time. This little set is not cheap at nearly £10 but if it is just what your child needs then it will be great value. The set comes in a neat clam shell box containing 4 small rectangular framed filter wands: yellow, blue, purple, and clear (cannot really see the point of that one?) There are two open ended rings in small and slightly larger size to fit onto right or left index finger. You slot the end of the filter wand into the top of the ring and slip it on so that the dot/Hand and Mind print is uppermost. The rings are designed for the fingers of children, not adults. They do not magnify the print at all so they are no substitute for glasses if your child has vision problems. The set could be useful for an individual child to keep in their pencil case at school, or for use by any adults working 1:1 with children having problems with their reading. However the filters are thin plastic and I think they might break or scratch rather easily in the hands of a young child. They will also undoubtedly get smeared and should be gently washed in soapy liquid or polished with a spectacle cleaning cloth. Worth a try, though it is only one strategy amongst many to help struggling readers.

Huge help!
My daughter has struggled when reading, focusing on one word at a time. And with these “windows” she’s improved and loves to use them.

Helpful
This was really helpful and I like how compact it is. I thought my two children could use it at the same time because it came with two rings, but unfortunately they are just different sizes which of course is nice but if you want to have more than one child using it at the same time you would need several. I think the price was a bit high too.
