Read a lot of bad reviews and I actually think the wicks are pretty good. You do need to use > 1 at a time (2 seems best). Soaking them w/ fragrance oil is also a good idea. The wicks throw a nice flame.

If not trimmed properly these wicks will give off black smoke. They’re sturdy. Some of the holders were bent, which made for bent wicks, but I was able to fix it by balancing a butter knife on top of the candle to hold it up. These were a little longer than other options, so I’ve been cutting them in half to use as two separate wicks, more value for your money! You’ll just need to purchase more wick holders.

they will not stay lite

It's easy to use. You definitely need two pieces of wood per a size candle like the three wick candles from bath and body works. It does not go out like sometimes the rope wick candles do. The crackling is there, not as loud as I thought but you can really gear it at night when there is less noise in the house. I am very happy with this purchase.

These do not stay lit regardless of what I do, the closest I could get was doubling up the wicks. Pretty disappointing because I bought obviously in bulk.

Used these wicks for make at home candles, the wicks do not stay lit. Even when the wick is cut down to 1/4-1 inch above wax, neither length had a positive outcome.
