very useful
after the chain on my wife's bike broke and I got ot push it for 2 miles I decided it wass time to buy a tow strap. The price on this one was great and it came in a bag that straps to the bike to boot!!!

Great assistance for learning how to ride a bike
This tow rope is a great way to assist a child in learning how to ride a bike. Our little one is 3 and practicing with a pedal bike. His legs are not quite strong enough, so we purchased this rope to provide assistance as he practices pedaling and balancing (with training wheels). The length is great as it gives plenty of space between riders. The only downside is the lag time between the parent pulling, and the child then being pulled. It is a more abrupt start for the child unless he/she is already pedaling. The child also must steer with the adult, or they may be prone to flop over.

Sucks just enough to make your friends buy their own e-bike
It works, but adds the perfect amount of humility and sucktitude to encourage your friends to get their own ebike.

great tow rope
I have to admit that I didn't know this was a thing and actually stumbled on it, so I have no other product ot compare it to. We have recently started riding our bikes several miles across the city to our daughters school and then on to our studio. this is a pretty easy ride (often down hill) in the morning, but my daughter has had a harder time in the evening after a long day and is pretty tired. Especially the last part of the ride since it is all uphill requiring several stops for rest. When I saw this, I was skeptical that it would work, but after reading the reviews I gave it a chance. I am so glad that I did. I love this thing! When I first imagined it, it seemed a little dangerous. But in practice it has been great! its more work for me of course, but I am much more resilient than my 9 year old. Attaching it to my daughter's bike is quick and easy. While skeptical at first, I use the loop around the seat horn to great effect. I love that the "bungie aspect" allows it to take upon the slack when there is a discrepancy in our speeds, minimizing the hard tug that would happen with a simple rope. I love the bright red so that it can be seen that there is a top between us. It has been simple to use and has really effected the quality of our rides with easing our last leg home up the hill. Our daughter can peddle as much or as little as she wants on that uphill ride and as she gets stronger we can ween her off of it. Great value, I can't recommend it enough for anyone that has similar need.

Just what we needed to get our daugher home at the end of a ride
We have a condo in the mountains that is located on top of a long hill (about 1/2 mile). We like to go cross-country riding on our mountain bikes pretty often. In the past I would have to leave my wife and daughter at a store at the bottom of the hill, ride up and get our truck to go pick them and their bikes up. With this strap, that issue is solved. I pull my daughter up the hill with this tow rope. Yes, it gives me a heck of a workout and it lets her make it all the way back to the condo. Keep in mind, she is still pedaling, so you are not pulling her weight entirely. I connect it to my seat post and her handlebar stem. Just make sure you start out slow. This tow strap does have elasticity to it so it lessens the "jerking" motion when you first start off. Pedal at a nice constant rate and keep in constant communication in case she is having issues. I definitely do NOT recommend going down hill with this as it could slacken up and cause an accident. It comes with a carry case that you can attached between your bikes top tube and down tube. Highly recommended, just use common sense when using it!

Not worth it
I have used the towwhee brand many times and wanted to get a second bungee for my other son, this was half the cost of the towwhee so I thought I would try it out. It is no where near the tow rope as the towwhee and I would recommend spending the extra on the towwhee, it is much longer with much less elasticity than the other brands and is much harder to safely use, specially if your trails have lots of curves. It is almost unusable but we have made it work by doubling it up. Not the ideal solution but I was lazy and did not return it when I should have.
