Full Steam Ahead!
I received this Chi Steam iron today and tried it out immediately. I have tried all kinds of irons inexpensive to very expensive over the years, looking for an iron with strong steam. I had a $250 iron that was absolute junk. This moderately priced, attractive iron gives a strong steady amount of steam! Yahoo! It is light to hold and I like the comfort grip of the handle. The extra long cord and the Velcro fastener to keep the cord neatly stored is a nice touch. I will try and remember to check back in awhile to update how this iron performs. Right now I give it a 5 out of 5! Highly recommend. The only thing I am not happy about was the $15 coupon offered to me and redeemed, did not apply to my purchase. I sent a screen shot of the order page showing the coupon redeemed, but I haven’t heard from Amazon yet. Update Dec 9…I never did get the coupon resolved. But the iron itself is working fantastically for me…lots of steam, and yes there is a burst of steam when you sit the iron up, so be careful not to have your body parts close by. This is hands down, the best iron I have ever owned, and I have owned ones costing hundreds of dollars that were not even close to this iron. I iron everything so I am particular about steam, especially. If this iron continues to work this well I will be a faithful customer of Chi.

Great all around iron
I love this iron! Gets hot fast and the steam is awesome. I’m a quilter but bought this for clothes as I have an Oliso for quilting. This iron may take over for both. It’s light weight in comparison and has a great point on it. Ceramic plate is smooth. It drains the water out easily after ironing which will extend its life. Also 30 minute shut off which is good for quilting as well as clothes.
