Very good and solid bookcase. It comes with very direct and clear instruction for assembly which I recommend you follow directly in order to achieve fairly easy and solid assembly. Two people make it fairly easy, but one can do so if they can work on the floor, etc. Finished cabinet is very nice and worth the money easily. Will hold tall books with easy-to-move shelving. I can recommend this product.

A really solid piece of furniture and looks good. The instructions are clear and everything went together smoothly. Do allow some time and patience to do the job right. I don't usually do reviews, but this product is worth a shout out.

Suggest you read all directions first. Sturdy and easy to assemble. I would have given it five stars if it would have listed the item as wooden and it is particle board with a wood look surface. Although it looks very nice and serves the purpose it is in my opinion listed improperly.

Looks nice, not hard to put together. It was what I needed. The only thing I will say is that the 4 covers for the things that hold the sides onto the top do not stay on. But the metal pieces are high up and you would have to be on the floor looking up to see them so I didn't bother trying to make them stay on..

I am very pleased with this bookcase, the assembly instructions were well written, all the parts were there, and everything went together flawlessly. It looks great and is well made.

First off, let me say that the instructions are amazing. Having had to assemble various items in the past couple years, it feels like instructions are going extremely minimalist, opting to show mere confusing diagrams instead of written instruction. This then forces you to search YouTube in the vain hope that a video exists to show you how to assemble it. The instructions for this bookcase include written instructions and a detailed diagram. That being said, the only step I had a problem with was Step 6 (pictured). I put the molding flush with the top when there should have been a little space between the edge of the top and the molding (pictured). I had a difficult time lining up the holes with the screws and therefore just kept the edges flush to help, which was a mistake and led to there being a tiny gap between the molding and the side (pictured). If you get this bookcase, please make sure you do not make my mistake. It is not a big enough issue for me to try to disassemble it and fix. Despite the tiny flaw, created by my own misunderstanding, the bookcase is excellent quality for pressboard and it is sturdy. It looks great and will serve for our purposes perfectly. The price wasn't too bad either (we paid $85). Overall, I highly recommend this bookcase as it is of a decent quality and price, and the instructions are simple to follow, which makes it easy for one person to assemble it themselves.

Needed to provide additional storage for art books and other items in family room as I was setting up a small area for watercolor painting. I have purchased many Sauder bookcases over the years and have always been pleased with the produce as quality for the price and a final handsome produce no matter the style and finish type. Construction and directions have always been excellent and if followed carefully never a problem. The materials have always arrived securely packaged without any scratches, blemishes of any type. Over the years that whenever I have needed extra storage capacity for books or other hobbies I have always looked to Sauder for the solution and as of now have never been disappointed. One construction suggestion on the recent 2 shelf bookcase would be to make the back panel just a little larger on its length (not width) as the panel has plenty of room to extend over the bottom base and make it much easier to line up and get a proper fit. Overall, a 5 star rating!

Looooovvve it, was fairly easy to put together, minor scratches (that was my fault) other than that it is a beautiful addition to my home, will at some point purchase another one❤️

The shelf was easy enough to put together - took me a few hours, but I was ill at the time and am not great at assembling things. The Washington cherry is a lovely colour. It actually resembles real wood, so it looks very nice as a bookcase. It's also very sturdy, so it's safe if you have animals that climb all over things.

Easy to build simple instructions, and looks great it's hard to tell its OSB, just be easy when screwing it together. Great bookshelf

So I ended up picking this up to expand my living room storage for books and box sets etc. This shelf is actually kind of perfect for my living room and gives me a nice amount of space to organize some larger items I have in my collection. Took about an hour to put together solo, not difficult, everything lined up without issue. Quality wise, well, you get what you pay for and this obviously isn't a $500 shelf... it's adequate and looks a bit nicer than it probably should though when light hits it at certain angles you can tell it's not real wood. Seems like it will hold some weight decently well though I won't be pushing it. Should also mention it's a darker cherry colour in person, which in my case is a good thing and my preference, the pics for the product are obviously taken under bright lights. TL;DR If you need some extra storage space and have limited space, this should fit your needs. It looks pretty good though I'd maybe avoid loading it up with super heavy books and potentially keep a wood colour touch up marker handy just in case you scratch it. At the end of the day this shelf works well for me and I'm satisfied with my purchase. :)

Quite frankly, I was surprised by the quality of this product at this price. Sure it's made of particle board, but that's what I'd expect for this price. Regardless of what it's made of, the pieces were cut perfectly to fit together snuggly, and the result is an attractive bookshelf sturdy enough to hold some fairly heavy books. The instructions provided very helpful comments and guidance for assembling it, so as long as you read all those comments, and follow the clear guidelines, and patiently take your time, you will end up with a nice piece of affordable and functional furniture.

Sauder furniture has very good products, good price and extremely easy to assemble. They are sturdy and their looks compares with other higher priced products
