Crucial P3 500GB M.2 PCIe Gen3 NVMe Internal SSD - Up to 3500MB/s - CT500P3SSD8

Used primarily as external storage for backing up my music, speed isn't that essential for me, but it was nonetheless quick to transfer around 400GB, matching the good speeds others have mentioned here and didn't get too warm while doing so. It fitted easily into the external enclosure (I bought this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BGS3NZ4C?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title ), was immediately recognised by my PC, then after initialising was ready to be loaded. It works well for my purpose, so with only small file transfers being carried out from now on I hope it will last a good length of time. Lastly, it comes packed with the all-important screw! Highly recommended if you've you've got a similar need to mine, though obviously it would be faster fitted as an internal drive.

As descripted getting the full speeds as told and such and have had no problems with this, other then installing it due to such a tiny screw. Like 0.2cm small i was scared of dropping it and well never finding it ever again, so be very careful.

Bought and put it in a metal SSD enclosure and I now use this as my main backup/transfer for work. Holds a decent amount and is light and portable. Works just fine all these months later and is of a good quality. Recommended.

I used this device to replace an aging SSD, never having owned an NVME drive before but hearing tales of their amazing speed. The old SSD was pretty fast - 500mb/s allegedly. Imagine up to 3000mb/s. That should make a big difference. Yes, turning off all the fake stuff - you know, the caching which isn't actually writing to the drive but filling my memory up - it comes in very quick, slightly below a seven year old SATA SSD. This is not due to any bad setting as there are not many, and I have a 13th gen Intel with latest motherboard, etc. Is this just Crucial - a brand I've trusted thus far - or is the whole M.2 MVME malarkey just emperors new clothes? I think given the poor performance it kind of adds an extra kick in the teeth to learn they are equivocal on the guaranteed life span. So.. if I'm understanding you rightly Crucial, it's not fast and may not last that long? Fantastic, thanks for that. The price is good.

I bought this SSD to use as "HyperCache" in our new TerraMaster NAS. Crucial SSDs are good quality and I have never had an issue with them. This one is not the quickest device available (being PCLe Gen 3.0), but is more than adequate for my needs (see my CrystalDiskMark screenshot). It's also very reasonably priced. I initially tested it in a USB caddy and it worked fine - albeit not at full speed due to the restrictions of the USB port (Gen 3) on my laptop. CrystalDiskInfo confirms this to be a new device with no errors. In my NAS, it does a great job - markedly improving responsiveness and transfer times. The NAS OS (Linux) shows it to be running well and at a reasonable temperature. With quick delivery too, I am rather chuffed 😀 😊

Bought this (500gb) to put in an nvme usb adapter plugged in to my proxmox server for holding backups. 500gb is plenty, and I don't need the extra speed of the Plus version as it's only in a usb 3.0 port anyway. So this is an incredibly cheap and useful addition to my proxmox setup. Backups now run at 150-350 MiB/s depending on what the data is like. Brilliant.

I have bought this product several times and been happy with all versions sold. The M2 drive is simple to install by gently pressing it into the relevant PC slot. THe drive should be acknowledged right away by the PC but you should format it immediately to 'activate' it. The read speed and write speed seem to be as good as much dearer units. I have moved and transferred Gigabytes of Data and use this unit for file storage with an external adapter. Happy to recommend as a 5 x star product.

Not the most performant of SSD's but certainly good for a non-gaming laptop or desktop. if you're coming from a spinning rust disk, an NVMe drive will feel like a rocket ship regardless of the relative performance. This will also easily outperform a SATA SSD in virtually all tasks (as long as it's installed in a dedicated NVMe slot. if it's in a SATA to NVMe adapter you'll only get SATA performance.) Stick your OS on this and don't look back - Installation is super easy (with an existing slot)

Installé comme disque principal sur un PC portable compatible NVMe, il a apporté un gain de performances immédiat par rapport à un ancien SSD SATA et encore plus face à un disque dur classique. L’installation est simple et rapide : reconnu instantanément par le BIOS et par Windows. Les temps de démarrage sont nettement plus courts et les applications se lancent quasi instantanément. Pour un usage quotidien (bureautique, navigation, multimédia, logiciels), la réactivité est excellente. Même pour un usage plus exigeant comme le montage léger ou les jeux, le SSD reste fluide et stable. Les débits annoncés en PCIe 3.0 sont bien respectés dans la pratique pour cette gamme de prix. La technologie 3D NAND apporte une bonne fiabilité et le disque chauffe peu dans des conditions normales d’utilisation. Le format M.2 2280 est standard et compatible avec de nombreuses cartes mères et ordinateurs portables. Le rapport qualité/prix est clairement l’un de ses points forts. Crucial est une marque reconnue, et ce modèle constitue une excellente solution pour une mise à niveau d’un PC vieillissant ou pour un nouveau montage à budget maîtrisé. Ho acquistato il Crucial P3 500GB M.2 PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD per aggiornare il mio PC e sono rimasto estremamente soddisfatto. Questo SSD offre prestazioni incredibili a un prezzo davvero competitivo, soprattutto considerando che offre una velocità di lettura fino a 3500 MB/s, il che è un notevole salto rispetto ai tradizionali hard disk e anche rispetto a SSD SATA. La velocità di scrittura è anch'essa molto buona, con 3000 MB/s di picco, il che rende il Crucial P3 ideale per lavori che richiedono una rapida scrittura di dati, come l'editing video o il caricamento di giochi pesanti. La differenza rispetto al mio vecchio disco è evidente, il mio sistema operativo si avvia in pochi secondi e anche il caricamento delle applicazioni è praticamente istantaneo. Ich habe die Crucial P3 500GB M.2 SSD als Upgrade für meinen PC geholt und bin absolut begeistert. Wer eine schnelle und unkomplizierte Speicherlösung sucht, macht hier alles richtig. ​Performance & Geschwindigkeit: Die SSD läuft absolut super. Der Unterschied zu einer alten SATA-SSD oder gar einer HDD ist wie Tag und Nacht. Das Betriebssystem fährt in wenigen Sekunden hoch, Programme öffnen sich ohne jegliche Verzögerung und auch die Ladezeiten in Spielen haben sich drastisch verkürzt. Alles läuft extrem flüssig, schnell und vor allem absolut stabil. ​ Einbau & Zuverlässigkeit: Der Einbau auf dem Mainboard war dank des M.2-Formfaktors in einer Minute erledigt – kein Kabelsalat, einfach einstecken, festschrauben und fertig. Sie wurde vom System sofort erkannt. Auch nach längerer Nutzung unter Last bleibt die SSD absolut zuverlässig und bricht in der Performance nicht ein. ​Fazit: Crucial liefert hier gewohnt starke Qualität.
