You connect the gateway directly to your router with an ethernet cable. The wall control is not plugged into an ethernet jack so you should be fine.

Q: How Do I lock out remote operation at night, Like my 4th car is standing outside I do NOT want anyone to just break the window and open the garage.

My Chamberlain has a lock button on the switch that is permanently mounted in the garage wall. If I push this before I go to bed it locks the garage door opener so no remotes will open it until the unlock button is pressed. It is not wireless though, yet a nice way to lock up the garage as your making your last run around the house to lock up all the doors before heading to bed.
