Q: what is the length from outside waist to bottom for each size S, M, L ?

I wear a large (34 inch waist) as I dont like these shorts tight: It is about 15 inches from the top of the waistband to the short end on the outside. These are definitely mid thigh length.

Q: What is the difference between these and the 9" with the same specs except the price of $18? The seem to leave out the word "performance" in the 9"

9” will be longer might be past your knees for some cases.
